It never hurts to apply. Admissions isn't an exact science. They might see something in your application that helps make up for the lower than average GPA.

You sound exactly like me, minus I'm in state. I've been reviewed, pending for weeks now. Oddly enough, my checker didn't go "blank" like alot of other in state, on the fence applicants like the others on this board. Don't know whether that's bad or not?

so it goes:
1. all docs received (aka complete)
2. under review by committee (for how long usually?)
then either
3. reviewed, decision pending
or
4. decision in transit
?
just trying to make sure i get the lingo down

Exactly how it went for me.. (minus step 4). I was under review by committee for about a month before I went "reviewed, decision pending".
dang, i was wondering how long it took. then if they're serious about having most decisions out by end of march/early april then i bet a lot more than just me prob went into review today/will very soon!
i LOVE you UF....let me in please!!

I would love to get accepted too, although by the looks of things I won't be. Sounds like "Reviewed, pending" is practically a death sentence.

So "decision pending" has been up for you for a while and you didn't get anything in the mail yet..?

Midrangejumper, thanks for the confidence boost. Maybe there IS hope.
Yeah, it went from "Under Review" to "Reviewed, decision pending" and it's been like that for a couple weeks. I'm assuming it won't be "Decision in Transit" for a while.

It seems that there seems to be two "under reviews"
1. "under review"
2. "under review by committee"

Really? I had "under review by committee" and then "reviewed, decision pending". I don't see why there'd be an "under review"

Re: University of Florida
mine says:
Under Review; Decision pending
i'm guessing this is different than
Reviewed; Decision pending
the latter seems like a hold/wait and the former is currently being reviewed....is that an accuate definition for these terms?

Sounds right judging by the collective experience of all of us on this board.

my GPA is way below the 25% (3.07), and LSAT is above their 25% (158), but i have owned a business for 17 years and I'm in-state with good softs so I'm not sure if those factors are going to matter....when i visited, i didnt see too many older students, did anybody else who visited notice older students (30+)?

it seems most of us are in the same LSAT boat with this batch...i cant imagine they would reject everybody, they will prolly admit some and reject others based on the strength of the application...at least thats what i'm trying to convince myself of

but before that, yours was at "under review by committee" ?
and if so, how long did it take for you to get to "under review, decision pending" ?

There are a significant number of nontrads. They're not the norm, obviously, but a fair amount. There is a student group that has socials, etc.

Re: University of Florida
Mine was "all docs received" and went to "under review; decision pending".
Here's how it seems to me so far based on feedback from this board:
1. All Docs Received
2a. Under Review, Decision Pending
2b. Under Review by Committee
3a. Reviewed by Committee, Decision Pending (our assumption is this is WL/Hold)
3b. Decision in Transit (our assumption is admittance, but as we approach march/april, the chances of this also being other decisions increases as they will eventually have to send out the other decisions)
