They don't say congrats or anything like that on the status checker. Don't fret yet.

That's the generic status checker message displayed after your decision letter has been sent. It does not indicate admit, reject, or waitlist. However, the timing of this message, in your case, would seem to indicate that you have been rejected.

Does anyone who switched to "decision in transit" have an amount or a due date for the seat deposit?

That's what I was thinking. I would just like to know so I don't have to go and check the mail.

Nevermind that. With your numbers and the timing of your DIT notification, I'm sorry to say, but the best you can hope for is waitlist - and even that seems extremely unlikely.

I just switched to Decision letter in transit today (3/1).

I have a 161 and a 3.2 from Boston University.

This is just really disappointing, I hope it is a waitlist so I can write a LOCI, I would be more than happy to ride out the waitlist here

I'm thinking our fates are tied, I have just about identical stats. My undergrad is even BU.

Assuming that all these recent DITs are rejects, it is quite possible that UF has become slightly more selective, based on some of these numbers. Good for those admitted, not so for those walking the fence.

Can't make any assumptions based on LSN, though. That's only a few applications out of 3000+, many of which have skewed numbers to hid their identities. I don't even have my numbers on there, and I was hesitant to sign up here. I am certain that there were a variety of decisions sent out on that date that weren't self-reported on that site. Here's to hoping for good results! UF is fickle.

And as a side note, I think UF will lose this "slightly more selective" trend when the economy recovers and the number of applications drops as a result. When that will be is anyone's guess.

Who said anything about LSN? The numbers I was referring to were the ones reported on this site. But yes, I was using LSN as a partial baseline (along with the official UF-reported numbers), and true, some of the results on there are unreliable. However, I would contend that most, especially from last year, are not.

Also, I think that the assumption that the bolded will happen at all could prove to be a bold one.

Right there with you. RC;DP since 2/11. I would say it's a very good thing that we didn't go DIT today.

My transcript = not so hot. Being a chemistry major basically demolished any hopes I had of getting good grades.... LOL
I am hoping my LSAT makes up for it. You have a higher GPA so I'd say your shot is better than mine. Good luck!

P.S. For the fellow who has been RC;DP since early December, I don't know what to say but I am sooo sorry. If I had to wait that long, I think I'd go nuts! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I'm in the same boat as you. I've been RC:DP since 1/25 with similar stats to those who went DLIT. WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?

Perhaps that you got lucky and are going to be waitlisted or even admitted after the cull. Or perhaps that you will be going DLIT imminently.

Will the size of the envelope determine the decision? (i.e. big = acceptance, small = reject)

DIR 3/1 as well. Looking like a WL/Rejection. Oh well.
