My daughter is only one as of yesterday, so not really an issue yet, thanks though.boadicea wrote:SAE: down to ~200 from ~300 last year. Obviously other schools like SMU and Alabama, appreciate my work experience a bit more than UF has seemed to.boadicea wrote:165, 167 LSATs, and ya'll are sweating over UF? Seriously? Unless you really want that in-state tutition...haven't you gotten into better schools?! UF cutting enrollment by 100 people this year = their response to falling below #50 in the rankings. Not a good sign, and the remedy doesn't bode well either.
Just saying, if your LSAT is above 165, good Lord! You should be fine! Gainesville isn't that awesome, trust me.
I'm not a parent, but I wouldn't want my kid going to the schools that are zoned around the campus. Exception being maybe P.K. Yonge. Gainesville public school system is SCARY. I hope there's a choice program that Alachua offers!
It's never too early to get her started prepping for the LSAT.isaiah6v8 wrote:My daughter is only one as of yesterday, so not really an issue yet, thanks though.boadicea wrote:SAE: down to ~200 from ~300 last year. God, I pray she chooses better than me. Maybe a Dr. or a writer or something.Moose Thompson wrote:isaiah6v8 wrote:It's never too early to get her started prepping for the LSAT.boadicea wrote:

You two seem awfully giddy for a couple of blokes condemned to three years of pain and suffering at a school that most recently brought in a grand total (if you can call it that) of 8 firms for on-campus interviewing (servicing a field of approximately 400 graduating students). Stetson must have the ghost of Billy Mays pitching its program - either that or one hell of a pamphlet.Moose Thompson wrote:Congratulations! Why this?^ You know, I am not overtly impressed with Stetson either, but they have made a choice for their future, and I am sure that it can still prepare them to be successful, so why trash it? Besides, you don't know if those 8 firms that come on campus place an emphasis on hiring Stetson grads, in that case, maybe there are only 8 but the prospect of a job is higher, I am just saying what is the necessity of bashing someone else's choice?Lomax wrote:You two seem awfully giddy for a couple of blokes condemned to three years of pain and suffering at a school that most recently brought in a grand total (if you can call it that) of 8 firms for on-campus interviewing (servicing a field of approximately 400 graduating students). This guy is a buffer for the boys in the UF locker room. Seriously, no other ls school is worthy of anything besides ridicule...all hail UF Capt. Lomax. He pulled this data out of his ass and has been using it as his main argument in other threads.isaiah6v8 wrote:Why this?^ You know, I am not overtly impressed with Stetson either, but they have made a choice for their future, and I am sure that it can still prepare them to be successful, so why trash it? Hmm, trying to remember some words of wisdom from a certain rabbit's mother in a certain Disney film about not being a douche, keeping your mouth shut, etc. The words seem to escape me, however...Lomax wrote:You two seem awfully giddy for a couple of blokes condemned to three years of pain and suffering at a school that most recently brought in a grand total (if you can call it that) of 8 firms for on-campus interviewing (servicing a field of approximately 400 graduating students).
