Still under review by committee. Originally went under on the 2nd. Changed to the 5th. Stayed that way since then. Which is a good sign considering the last batch didn't seem to go so great. But a decision would be helpful.

Uhh...I forgot I applied to UF. They suck for taking so long to get back to me. I've been complete since November. Assholes.

Jpin - I was in the march 6th batch but mine actually said 3/6 for the transit date. As of today, I still haven't gotten anything and I live 3 miles from the law school. I hope this is a good sign cuz I haven't seen anyone from our batch with good news. I'm definitely worried! Good luck!

this is good news for you...the acceptances seem to be lagging, i think its because they wait for the IT dept to set you up to allow your seat deposit before they send the letter....just a guess, but it makes sense

That makes me feel better. My status is dated 3/6 also, so hopefully these are acceptances.

I'm in the same boat...I applied late November and my file has been reviewed/decision pending since 1/22.
In state, 160/3.79
I've heard UF's pretty picky...

My numbers are slightly less than yours, but hopefully I'm in the same pile as you right now (I'm a UF undergrad/grad, good work experience/recommendations) - hold, wait for people to withdraw.

How much time do they give to decide to those accepted?

Yes, it is. But I guess it is getting a little more competitive this time around with a smaller incoming class (true?). As long as the long hold translates to an acceptance for me, I am OK.

btw, is the status checker down right now? another batch being processed?

Sounds like status checkers for other schools are down as well. False alarm.

Very slightly off topic, but has anyone heard back about merit or merit/need awards from UF?

What percentage of students get merit/need based aid?

According to LSN:

% Receiving Grant Aid: 20.8%
Full Tuition: 0.5%
Half Tuition: 3.2%

I did better than half tuition from FSU, but their number for that is 3.9%. I wish I could just transfer that scholarship over.

Any luck, jpin?

I know it's large package you're about to get. So it might take a little longer than usual. ))

I hope so. No, no package yet. I had it sent to my school address and now im back home in the tampa area so I need to find someone who can pick up my mail for me or drive back. Ive convinced myself a million times that its a rejection/acceptance based on pretty fickle evidence

I've been pending since early Jan, I believe, with both LSAT and GPA somewhat over median (3.8 GPA 161 LSAT, in state, coming from another state public undergrad). The deadlines to pay my seat deposits at my other options are approaching fast. What to do?

Admissions must be on spring break with the students. Been under review since 3/5. :|
