I think I might call bullshit. If there's no difference, then why would they input two different phrases..??? Seems weird to me. Maybe they just don't want to let us know that one answer means "no" and the other means "WL?"
no more tar pic? :o
I deleted it after the terror that was inflicted in me from the "admissions superstar" thread.Ahaha..I'm new to message boards..I never know avatars were so bad!
haha ya i would never put up a pic of myself on here! (and im always amazed that people do to be quite honest with you)

though it makes spotting out TLS'ers that you go to LS with a lot easier :P

If you're right, "Under review" = Hold; "Reviewed" = Rejected
That way I'd have a shot still lol

wow, you actually might be onto something here....

Naw, I think it's all the same really... We're their backups regardless of what it says (as long as they don't send rejection letters)

I am "Under Review; Decision Pending" since 2/26... I was wondering if it is a good idea to write a LOCI in this situation.

Thanks.

i proposed this earlier, and people seemed to think waiting til you ACTUALLY are given a WL is the best idea

Actually several people on this board went from "Reviewed by committee; Decision Pending" to "Letter in Transit" and received acceptances, so it does not mean rejected...
I know, it was wishful thinking since mine says "Under Review..."
I don't think they should even have status checkers, they just stress people out... reminds me I have to go check mine

+1, with the batch of those who went blank.

Which btw, those who went blank seem to all be UR;DP
And the other group who changed the following week seem to all be "URbC"

Mine just changed to this...I don't want to be too confident but I'm a Florida resident with a 167/3.0/good softs and while I know my GPA is nothing to write home about, I would be surprised if I was rejected outright. I guess we'll see!

It's basically a waitlist/reject list. If you notice on LSN they haven't rejected anyone yet.

While most people with this status are being outright rejected, some of them might be in a maybe pile.

These are my thoughts after talking to the admissions people down in titletown.

EDIT: If you call them and ask if it is appropriate to send a LOCI they will tell you no, that nothing will be added to your file after March 1. However, if you send it directly to the dean or acting dean they will add it for you and be very pleasant about it. Good luck everyone.

My status checker still says "Under Review by Committee" but the date changed from 3/2 to 3/5.

I'm guessing I'm going into a second round of review. Pure speculation though.

Mine also changed to 3/5 and still says "Under Review by committee". I wonder what that means?

I think it's pretty crappy that they haven't rejected ANYONE yet.Surely there are people who have applied that admissions know don't have a shot in hell..and yet they're still not sending rejection letters. I just don't understand the strategy.

I can understand not rejecting alot of people at first, because they probably use some of them for their gpa or lsat score or something that will help the overall class. It is strange that they havent rejected anyone yet but im sure they will be coming here soon.

I understand the strategey... they don't know that they're going to fill their class 100% full until enough people accept their offer. Theoretically they could screw themselves over if they reject those they expect to reject, and nobody takes an offer to go to their school with higher numbers. It's highly unlikely, but the school has no incentive to reject people early, just keep them waiting until they're happy with their matriculation, and then the 'thanks, but no thanks' letters start poruing out.
