Congrats! Miami was my first acceptance too! You'll never forget your first

Just got my acceptance notice yesterday! It's cool that UM is so fast with the decisions.

Any idea of the chances I have at getting into UF or FSU?

156 LSAT, 3.21 UGPA (3.39 LSDAS GPA)

Congrats to everyone accepted! One of my best friends is a 2L at Miami, and she loves it.

I don't get it.. how do I check my application's status? I never received an e-mail or anything from UM.

It's not recognizing my SS number/birthday combo. I set up an account anyway.. still don't know what to do, though!

MYUM and the admitted students website are two different things. Myum allows you to check your status (the one you're able to ste up an account with) and the admitted students website doesn't recognize your SS/Bday combo b/c it won't be up until Feb is what the assistant admin director said.

That MYUM link takes me to a website: "CaneID Authentication Service" where it asks me to log-in using my Cane ID and pw, which I don't have. When I try to set up an account and input my SS number (with and w/o hyphens) and DOB, it gets me an error page.

When I set up the myum I don't remember it asking for my ss and dob. I remember that when I tried to set up an acount on the Admitted Students Website

When I click on first-time user, it asks for my SS or CaneID and my DOB.

I got an email 2 days ago explaining how to check my application status, and when to the site. When I logged in, I saw that I had been accepted.

Is Miami anybody's first choice? I went on LSN and nobody stated that they will be attending as of now.

Miami is not my first choice, but I wouldn't mind attending there. I live in the Miami area, so it would be very convinient to go to UM Law, but I want go to a school out of state.

This guy at my brother's job was telling me not to go there because I will probably get killed. He's from Miami and was like if I go there I better not leave campus

My brother told me he just said umm ok. I didn't think it was that bad in Miami???

I mean, there are parts but..Coral Gables is nice.
