I suppose that's good news. It's a little dissappointing that it's not a process blog, but I'll take it.

Somebody should just post a question on the TS blog regarding the waitlist. Maybe I'll do it today.

Same here, same here. It would just be great to know, for peace of mind, if they could estimate when they may start taking a few more people, you know?

Does anyone know when the second deposit deadline is? Not sure that matters, but...

I don't know which is more disheartening - the temporary death of this thread, or the absolute radio silence from Cambridge.

All we can do is wait. But you're right, it's definitely dissappointing to hear nothing for so long.

Harvard doesnt actually have a second deposit-- its just the 500$ deposit from May 1-- after that, if you are accepted off the waitlist, there is no date, just a "please send your deposit in to secure your spot"

I guess I don't have the nerves you folks do...given a T3-T6 acceptance, it seems ludicrous to me to pick up everything and fly to HLS any later than I dunno, the end of July. Better off transferring, methinks.

i want to be hopeful too, but i don't really get why anyone would continue to get off harvard's waitlist this late in the game. that would mean that people who already turned in their harvard deposit are deciding they don't want to go to harvard after all -- and that can't possibly be that common, right? also, based on lsn it seems like nearly everyone who got off the waitlist last year found out sometime in may.

i'm sure some acceptances will trickle in, but the idea that another "wave" of people will get off like happened the first week or so is pretty much dead.

Really? According to LSN, last year, 23 people were accepted off the waitlist. This year, to date: 6. Is Harvard really only taking a quarter amount off the waitlist as compared to last year?

Deferrals came about a month later than they did last year, why not waitlist acceptances as well?

because unless the deposit deadline was moved a month later too, then that doesn't really matter. the fact remains that everyone who wants to go to harvard has already turned in their deposit about a month ago, so unless a lot of those people suddenly decide they don't want to go to law school after all then harvard would have no need to go to the waitlist right now.

If you look at the years before last on LSN however, last year seemed to be more of an abnormality than a common occurrence. More people were accepted last year than in years past.

Nada for me. It's been almost a month since my second TS1 call. I suppose this keeps me excited about incoming phone calls, haha.

Unless you were blatantly rude, boring, or otherwise off-putting, I think your situation is pretty reprehensible. There's only so much you glean from a 5 minute conversation (i.e., its not like the make-it-or-break-it is going to come out in a five minute etiquette-driven palaver). To lift your hopes with a second call and then just leave you with radio silence is really rude and brash, in my opinion.

Ecu, I agree that Toby should give you some 411 about the call (hes waiting for a spot to give you, wasnt feeling the call, etc).

Hope is dying on this list. I think theyll probably take just a few, if any, over the course of the summer. Oh well.

The last thing Toby said to me (during our 10 second TS1 call) was that I was on the "shortlist for admission." Which is why I'm still holding out hope.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
