Waiting until regular decision to apply, but I am very interested in UT. Can't wait to hear from some other UT applicants/admitted students.

I am waiting to apply until the regular decision period, but I am very interested in UT. Looking forward to hearing from some of y'all who are considering it.

What factors are people considering when applying to UT? What about the school or the Austin area makes it especially appealing for you?

Does anyone know how long after going complete (ED) they send out interview requests? Also, does anyone know how much of their class each year is in-state vs OOS?

I don't think they have a quota, but I wouldn't be surprised if each class was a majority in-state. Last year's thread, looks like people started getting interview requests around 11/10 or so.

Off the top of my head I believe it is 35% out of state.

I applied RD in mid-October. UT is one of my top 3 choices, but since I’m out-of-state, I didn’t think getting in-state tuition was enough incentive to apply ED. Austin being an awesome place to live is just icing on the cake. I want to do Texas Big Law, and UT is an excellent way to get there. Some of my best friends from college live in Austin and Houston, so it would be great to see them more often. Those are my reasons/factors!

When people say they have gone complete, does that mean in the LSAC portal or the status checker?

My file also says complete per the Texas status tracker site. Initially processed 10/10/18, etc. Is that the “complete” that you’re seeing? Thanks!

Went complete (in the UT status checker) today. Does anybody know how the interviews work? Do they request interviews from any applicant they're seriously considering, or only those at the margin?

They are required by law to enroll a high percentage of in-state students (I believe it is 65% in-state?).

I received and completed my interview at the end of last week. Basically twiddling my thumbs at this point. Anyone else?

Did y'all who have already gotten the invite apply ED or RD? I applied RD and went complete 11/2.

Hey everyone! I just got admitted on Saturday 3/16!
I'm wondering how to find out if I am receiving any scholarship offer.
My email didn't say anything about it and I can't find any info in my admitted student dashboard.
For those of you who have received scholarships, did it come in a separate email or letter? That's how BU and Notre Dame informed me of scholarships.
I'm hoping I at least get some merit-based money. My LSAT is right on the mean and GPA is above it.
Thanks for your thoughts and good luck to all of you!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
