Submitted my application on 9/12 and got accepted on 10/23. The decisions may just be coming out sooner this year.

Completed on 9/15 and got accepted on 10/23. So maybe they're coming out sooner this year.

Just got a Fee waiver. Kinda surprised considering my stats (3.1/163) but guess I will definitely apply now! Good luck to everyone ITT!

I applied early decision this cycle. Submitted all of my materials on 10/30/18 and have been "complete" since receiving the information on how to view status. Good luck to all!

I have noticed that some people have begun to receive ED decisions. Seems that these applications were "complete" around 10/24/18 so there may be a decision before 12/1, but I have not had any movement besides "complete" yet.

Re: University of Michigan c/o 2022 ('18-'19 Cycle)
Got an email today that begins:
It goes on to say:Thank you for your application to the University of Michigan Law School. Because you went to the effort of applying early in the admissions season, we are concerned that you may feel some disappointment at not having received your answer yet. We understand the anxiety that the law school admissions process can cause, and are therefore writing to update you on the status of your file in an effort to alleviate at least some of that stress.
Wondering if anyone else received one of these emails & if people think it portends anything. That said, your application file has been reviewed at least once and we have found much to admire. A variety of reasons can account for why, notwithstanding at least one round of review, we have not already rendered a speedy final decision: sometimes we are waiting for additional information that we know is en route, like recommendation letters, updated transcripts, a new LSAT score, residency information; sometimes file-readers have different interpretations of or reactions to an application, and we need to meet and discuss; sometimes there’s an open question that we think the passage of time might clear up; sometimes we just think it makes sense to review an application file in the context of the greater pool…
While many—even most—applications are put through this sort of multi-step process, candidates (like you) who applied early and didn’t get read immediately are the ones who notice the resulting delay the most. We are truly sorry about that.

I got the same email verbatim and came on here to panic about it It was pretty lengthy and seemed like it was going to end with a waitlist. Hopefully they’re just nicely letting us know that we’re still under review. I wonder if it means anything negative about our app that we’re under a second review. I thought it was pretty standard for apps to go through 2 reviews.
