William and Mary - c/o 2022

Post by bigoil69 » Tue Oct 09, 2018 2:20 pm

I submitted my app (regular decision) on 10/8/18, and received an email from Admissions on 10/9/18 indicating that it’s being processed. Good luck to all!

Admitted w/scholarship via email today! I’m assuming the scholarship number was the total amount over 3 years, but I assume I’ll find out for sure when the admissions packet arrives.

UPDATE: Let’s try this again... Per my admission packet, the scholarship amount in my email was per year!

4.0 GPA/164 LSAT - I was offered $42,000/year, just under full non-resident tuition. I was definitely surprised!

Dropped the app yesterday. Trying for ED. I'm from the area and W&M would be the top choice. I'm a little on the low end for them so fingers crossed.

You applied binding ED to both Washington and Lee AND William & Mary?

Nope. Unforseen financial situation required me to reconsider. Asked W&L to be moved to regular decision and they said that was no problem, applied binding to W&M because it comes with a full ride.

Checking in, was accepted with $$!

Does anyone know if the school is receptive to financial aid negotiations? W&M was my #1 choice and a slight reach so I'm a bit leery of appearing ungrateful/demanding/etc., but I'm curious to see if anyone has successfully negotiated in the past.

Went complete 11/13 - silence since then. 3.2 165. Am I doomed? According to MyLSN from previous cycles its not looking good.

Application completed on 11/13 and haven’t heard anything... I’m starting to feel extremely concerned

I've heard that they're less willing to negotiate than other places, but it's not impossible. I'm planning negotiate with W&M as well, so it never hurts to try!

Trying to wait as patiently as possible... it’s hard to know if it’s a good or bad sign.
