Wake Forest Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)

Post by Delta887 » Fri Dec 01, 2017 2:41 pm

Checking in. Figured I’d start a discussion. I’ve been under review since 10/23. Really excited to hear back from Wake.

I just noticed today that a box titled “Transcripts - Degree and Date Conferred must be on your transcript for it to be considered final” is on the bottom of the status checker. Has this been here all long or is it a sign of movement?

Thanks!

I think it's been there! It has been for me since I went complete.

I have been under review since 10/23 as well! The transcripts part has been on my status checker the whole time.

Last year the first wave came on 12/15. Hopefully we hear something in these next two weeks!

Wake does do a rolling admission. I was admitted in late November a few years back. Good luck!

As far as we can tell, no one is admitted yet.

Downtown ~10 minute drive
-Crafted (Hipster Tacos) - http://www.eatatcrafted.com/crafted-taco/#menu-1
-Sweet Potatoes (Southern) - http://www.sweetpotatoes.ws/
-Bib's (BBQ, a bit pricier) - http://www.bibsdowntown.com/

If you're looking for BBQ & Fried Chicken, my favorite place is Mr. BBQ, but it's about a 15 minute drive from campus. Also cheaper than Bib's. http://mrbarbecue-nc.com/menu.html

<10 minute drives
My friends really like Putters and Mama Zoe's. Both are decently reviewed on Yelp, but they're not my favorite.

I think Crafted is a fun place to check out. Reboot (Old school coin-op arcade) is just across the street, and there's a new whiskey bar, and a beer bar next door.

I will be applying eventually, but I will probably wait until I get my LSAT score back to be sure (unless there is some incentive to do so earlier? UNC told me to apply by Dec 31st for full scholly consideration and they would just wait for my score). I visited back in September, loved it.

I know you can submit your application without your score in, and once your score is in then your application goes complete. It's probably the same either way, but definitely don't delay once you have your score. They typically do their first big wave of scholarships around February.

Today my status checker went from under review to completely blank so I think something is coming soon!

Last year, this happened to me too if I remember correctly. Wake does send an email as well, so if you don't check your status checker you'll still receive an email.

Good catch! Mine has also blanked, and it happened sometime since 8:00 this morning.
