Any guess on when they will be releasing decisions? Approaching a month of UR. LSN shows they released the first wave on Nov. 28th last year.

People reported getting in today on Reddit and LSN. Looks like people with high LSAT scores so far.ATXStudent wrote:Any guess on when they will be releasing decisions? Approaching a month of UR. LSN shows they released the first wave on Nov. 28th last year.

Just received a link to their MyUI page and the credentials to create a HawkID at midnight my time(probably about 8 AM in the Midwest), but my admissions profile says a decision is still pending...

In at Iowa!
157/3.99/Over-represented Majority
I know, retake. I'll consider sitting out a cycle and retaking in June if I don't get satisfactory money from places, but so far my cycle has outperformed my numbers, so I'm happy.
Anyone know when they start awarding scholarship?

Just received my admission email about 30 minutes ago! I'm in! No scholarship info included. Reflected on the status checker (but not the myUI page). Went complete 10/30, UR 11/7, non-ED.

In via email yesterday! Still no scholarship information. Does everyone's acceptance email state that they will need an official transcript from your graduating college? I've been out of school for a few years so I'm not sure if they make everyone send in a new transcript. It seems like something they would only need from someone currently in undergrad.

Just got scholarship info via email, 8 days post-decision. Hopefully you all who have been recently admitted will get it before the New Year!

Re: University of Iowa, Class of 2021 (2017-2018)
OK, so I received the $92,000 Scholarship which is amazing and I'm super pumped about it, but it says that its the full out of state tuition the first year (44k), but then goes down to 24 k the second and third years (in state tuition). I'm out of state btw. It also says to supplement this I can apply for an LRA position the second and third year to get the in state tuition (and thus the full ride), plus what they call a small stipend.
So my question is, how hard to obtain/good are these LRA positions? Should I assume this is a full rise scholarship, or are LRA spots really competitive to secure? Do I even want be an LRA in the first place? I hope this is the right place to ask, as I wasn't finding much on my google hunt.

"During your second and third years of law school, you will have the opportunity to work as a Merit Scholar Law Research Assistant (LRA)."
I took this as meaning that we already have the job, since it says we will have the opportunity to work, not the opportunity to apply to work, but you can always email the admissions office if you are still unsure.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
