Penn Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)

Post by wannabegenius » Thu Oct 12, 2017 9:50 pm

Hey everyone,

I decided to start this thread because the OP on the original Penn 2021 thread said he is going to Yale. Penn is my absolute first choice at the moment and I am ED-ing, but as a K-JD reverse splitter I know the odds are slim. Anyway, enough about me. Let's get to know one another as we await our decisions! Also, I've noticed that other applicant threads have fancy hyperlinks and images in them. I'm fairly new to this site, but if anyone wants to help me put that together, please PM!

Admissions spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0

Class of 2020 profile:
Applicants 5,601
Enrolled 244

LSAT
75th%/25th% = 170/163
Median=169

GPA 75th%/25th% = 3.94/3.54
Median=3.89

Women = 48%
Students of Color = 34%
LGBTQ = 12%
Out of College one or more years = 72%
Advanced Degrees = 7%
Age Range = 20-35
Average Age = 24
First Generation College = 10%

Just copy and paste last year's post. If you quote it you can copy all the formatting.

Checking in, regular ol' splitter here, see you all on the waitlist.

It's not letting me copy and paste, but I'll manually do it. If people could post the links of stuff they find useful I'll add them as I procrastinate my personal statement.

Of course <3. I love meeting new people. I ask for patience while I learn basic computer skills. Penn deserves a quality thread.

I'm international and they don't like us... Last year they admitted 0 (zero) internationally educated students! I'm talking about an applicants poll of about 200-300 students based on similar ranked schools information (they don't release anything)

What about this kind of super reach? :mrgreen:

If only I had your LSAT score :shock: I don't think it's a reach for you!

Reach for me. Let me put it this way: I'd have the highest LSAT and the lowest GPA of their incoming class guaranteed.

I'd take this. I'd have the lowest non-URM LSAT and barely 75th percentile GPA.

Checking in, but a major reach given their attitude toward sub-3.5 GPAs.

Would you rather have a sub 165 LSAT? maybe they'll pair us together and we both get in
