Out of curiosity, of those who have been admitted so far, did anyone apply in Nov. or later? Or has it only been Sept. and Oct. applicants? I’m a mid-November hopeful here.

Do we get an acceptance email? And if so, when? I want to make sure I wasn't imagining yesterday's phone call haha

Submitted in a super duper duper long shot but maybe in some universe they'll really like my personal statement and resume? Hahah.
Did anyone do the optional short answers? They were interesting.

I did the musical selection. I doubt they'll actually listen but I hope they do - took me longer than the rest of the app! lol

Congrats, and +1! Dean Deal was so nice that she sounded apologetic for calling early, and I'm thinking to myself "I would have gotten up at 4 if I knew you were calling!". Super excited - hope to see some of you at ASW!

P.S. Complete 10/16.

ME TOO. I was thinking that I could choose really long classical pieces so they'd look it over carefully. Then I ended up choosing some "pump it up" songs.

Did the books and music---went serious for books, humorous for music.

Congrats! I got the call yesterday, and also received an email because I missed the call - the email said something about a package being on the way. I've not yet gotten any email with further info, e.g. ASW dates, as yet. Would love to hear if anyone has gotten this information!

Edit: I actually just received the admission package in the mail - pleasantly surprised at how fast it came (I do live in the Bay). The letter says that Admit Weekend is April 13-16.

I'm wondering...since the admits this wave went complete in October, and I submitted in September, should I assume they reviewed my app and passed it over? Is Stanford mostly sticking to a timeline here or will they still accept people who submitted earlier, later in the cycle?

It’s possible your application is being held for a second review, which occurs around early April according to their website. It also seems possible that people who went complete in Sept/Oct might be admitted later in the cycle but before said second review (it looks like this happened according to the 2011 SLS Applicants thread I posted about earlier). So don’t despair!

Has someone who got rejected by KH been accepted by SLS so far?
