Can you remember when did you complete your application? Thanksxinaialice wrote:SusanSays wrote:Thanks a lot, I was just wondering why I didn't hear about interviews in the previous cycle. I am an international student and got interview several weeks ago. So the answer is... Yes! They do interview international students.

Sorry to interrupt this thread. I'm a UT grad and UT interviews people now??! Who do you all interview with? How long is the interview? Does everyone get an interview? If not, who do they decide to interview.

Just finished my interview. Texas Law's Kira interviews are so much more personable and flexible. Makes me really like them.

Dinged via e-mail today. RD, OOS, no why Texas. No interview request. I was pretty surprised since I thought my numbers were in range, but oh well.

Got dinged today via email. 4.0/167 and OOS. I screwed up on my interview so this isn't completely surprising. Good luck everyone!

My interview is due on Tuesday and I keep putting it off because I'm terrified. Anyone have any words of wisdom/ advice? I'd so much rather have a conversation with a person than record a video :/

I had some technical difficulties and then was flustered for the rest of it. The first question was fine but then I recorded the second question and the audio didn't work. I spent like 20 minutes trying to figure out how to fix it and was just thrown off for the rest of the interview.Teacher wrote:What happened on your interview?blackmamba8 wrote:Got dinged today via email. The format is a little weird so I would suggest doing a lot of the practice questions. Seeing myself was also weird so I tried focusing on the webcam light instead of looking at myself.

i highly doubt a bad interview would result in a rejection.

Dang, sorry to hear that! Did you apply ED or RD?blackmamba8 wrote:I had some technical difficulties and then was flustered for the rest of it. I really hope they're not placing that much stock in such a weird interview format. I did mine recently and definitely didn't feel as articulate or personable as I would have liked. Talking to a screen is just weird.

RD. I don't know how much of an impact my interview had on my overall app but it definitely didn't help. I didn't write a Why Texas so that probably hurt me more than the interview did.Jakovenko wrote:Dang, sorry to hear that! Re: Texas Law Class of 2021 Applicants (2017-2018 cycle)
I submitted 11/8 and went complete 11/9, and while I haven't received a rejection, I haven't received an interview request, either. All it says in the checker is, "Your Texas Law application file is complete and ready for review as long as we have received your CAS report," and LSAC confirmed that the report was requested and sent.
Anyway, all that to ask a potentially dumb question: I've been thinking about submitting a Why Texas essay while I wait for a rejection or interview request, but do they usually ask for that specifically or do they expect you to turn it in unsolicited?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
