Getting concerned... I've been complete since 11/3, still no interview request. I'm OOS (although my family all lives in the Austin area now) and I guess maybe a YP risk. I send in a Why Texas last week and was hoping it would get me an interview.

I have the black box but it still says "application initially processed on October 27, 2017" so I don't think it means anything since nothing has changed in months outside of a border lol

Applied early November and interviewed on 1/10/18. Got the acceptance call 1/12.

Also curious about this, so I checked LSN--there's been only one person applying in december who reported a decision.

So it appears to be based on submission date.

Question: How many of you all do NOT have a box around your application? Also, please note the date of when you applied and whether you’ve been accepted since. This will probably give us a better idea of the (in)significance of the box.

I just noticed the box. I applied 10/27, OOS, submitted why Texas, no interview.

In on Friday - OOS splitter, submitted mid-Nov, interviewed late Dec. Black box is there, dk when that showed up though.

Sooo dumb question but when everyone here talks about submitting "Why Texas?" statements are people submitting those unsolicited, because Texas asked for them or...? Wondering if I should submit one but I don't know the procedure.

Also FWIW Submitted 11/6, complete 11/7. OOS. I have the black box but dunno when it showed up. No interview so far.
