Soooo I submitted in October and interviewed 11/08 and still NOTHING. Should I email them? If so, what do I say

I've been sitting at complete since 9/6. I'm sure we'll hear something by the end of January. I'm not too optimistic about what that will be, though. At this point I'm basically hoping for WL.tony_dirko wrote:Same boat! I had my alumni interview yesterday and I think it went well! I saw that the interview is supposed to expedite the review process. For those who have heard back from Vanderbilt, how long after your interview did you get the news?

It definitely varies. I had my interview in early October, and I have not heard anything since.surfingwithgators wrote:I had my alumni interview yesterday and I think it went well! Anyone know when Vanderbilt sends $ offers? Pretty major factor in whether I'm likely to go here.

Same boat. I was ambivalent about my interview when I left, and now I have convinced myself that I really botched it.InterLaw wrote:Retweetwolfonlawstreet wrote:bbwannabe wrote:Anyone with above/at median stats not heard back yet despite applying early? Idk guys I have lsat well over their 75th / S, and so far I got no dings and good money from higher ranked universities, as well as full ride from wustl... So not getting in would actually be unexpected for me, but I guess it could happenbbwannabe wrote:same! i thought my interview went really well. *cry*wolfonlawstreet wrote:I felt like my interview went well, but at this point...I am doubting everything. lolHenryHankPalmer wrote:Same boat. Whelp, didn't do as well on the December LSAT as I would have liked, but just submitted as a hail mary. Who knows, maybe I'll get WL'd and wear them down with my polite begging.
Good luck to everyone! I bet you'll be hearing back good news soon!

Re: Vanderbilt Law School c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Anyone know if submitting a "Why Vandy" essay would help at all?
I'm a splitter at their 75th LSAT but below 25th GPA. Submitted back in October but haven't heard back yet and I think some other splitters are in the same boat. Vandy is definitely my first choice and the only reason I wouldn't go if I got in is if I was forced to pay sticker. Would writing a "Why Vandy" talking about how it is my first choice and how much I would love to go help at all and maybe persuade an acceptance out of them instead of a waitlist or worse?

I can’t say how much it would help, but I am in the exact same situation as you are and I submitted one after I visited. It can’t hurt, right?CADM1UM wrote:Anyone know if submitting a "Why Vandy" essay would help at all?
