I see this on my status checker: After reviewing thoroughly your application for admission to UC Berkeley School of Law, the Admissions Committee has decided, with regret, not to offer you a place in the Class of 2020

Getting ready to send the, "Thank you. I look forward to your decision regarding my placement in Berkeley Law Class of 2021. To be honest, I wasn't truly motivated to become a member of the class of 2020 (maybe because of some kind of internal bias or superstition). However, I am ecstatic about being among the class of 2021. For no apparent reason at all, I truly feel that the class of 2021 are TRULY my peers. I look forward to escaping forest fires-
that aren't really forest fires- with Berkeley law class of 2021. Really, the government is attacking California, hence, the people who are trying to succeed from the state. Let me not bore you with straight, indisputable facts though. I know your fingers are itching to admit me to Berkeley Law Class of 2021.

I love you.

Best,
I'm actually crying rn" email

Dinged. And my cycle has played out - and finally ended - exactly as I thought it would.

Weird question but do you think they updated the status checkers at the same time or are doing it continually bc now I'm checking every two minutes nearly giving myself a heart attack every time ....

I haven’t even looked at my status checker. I received an e-mail. Judging by other people’s posts I’d say it was probably all sent out at once. It was a very generic form e-mail, so I don’t see why they wouldn’t just mass send it to all the recipients. I went UR on 10/3, so I doubt they just now made up their mind on my app.

Also dinged today via email - splitter as well. Applied ED, was held for RD, sent an LOCI, no dice.

Bleh. Saw it coming with my sub-3.5 GPA but still burns. RIP Bay area dreams for now.

You survived a pretty large number of rejects. I should think that gives cause for hope.

Is anyone able to find out how to complete a CSS profile for Berkeley? I've been trying but I can't find them! I searched all the California schools listed. They're only on FAFSA. It's confusing because the TLS message boards from last year indicate that CSS was needed and even in the admit packet this year the letter from financial aid mentions the CSS profile. Was it dropped off this year and maybe that info wasn't all the way updated in some places? The financial aid email doesn't mention CSS...

I was confused by this as well, but their fin aid checklist does not include instructions for filling out a CSS profile either. Maybe they stopped using it?
