Anyone thinking there might be a wave of admits this week? Went interview received 12/11 and hoping to hear back before the holidays.

I sure hope so! I went interview requested on the same day as you. Id give up my Christmas presents for news before the break.

I think a lot of people are just freaked out about the format. You get asked some prerecorded video questions and have 30 seconds to think about it and a minute to answer. It’s awkward because you just watch yourself answer and you aren’t talking directly to anyone. There are also a few typed questions and I think the only reason people worry about those is because they have some unusual questions for an interview (like opinion based social justice type questions).

It’s really not too bad, just an awkward format. I worried a lot about it and I felt like my worrying was overblown afterwards.

One thing I did that I would highly recommend is looking at the camera instead of yourself on the screen. I thought it was a lot easier to concentrate by not having to see myself talk.

I love it here, and I'm glad this is where I ended up. I am from out of state, and I hate traveling because it's a long drive, but I also don't travel very often and I'd be doing it from whatever school I would have gone to so it's not at all specific to Cornell.

I'm sure you've seen the LST data the same as I have from Cornell, and that's all I have to go by. I'm not worried about employment prospects, the school places people very well.

I like the culture/environment. I like the smaller class size, it's easier to get to know people and see people around despite not having a ton of time to actually socialize. People are very laid back and commiserate, not many/any hyper competitive people that I've come across.

I'm the opposite. Still says interview requested but date changed. I don't think it means much.

Mine says interview received now too (also 12/11) but I can't remember if it said interview requested or received before lol
