I did the math and about 60 people get JS1s every week, and of those 60, 45 get acceptances. I don't know if this makes me happy or depressed.

Does this take into account the time of the JS1, or the average of them all? I was under the impression that the earlier JS1's have a better shot.

I would like to know this too

I would do it this way:
- 1200 ppl were interviewed last year (no source for that, just rumors i've heard)
- 24 waves (see OP)
- This yields 50 ppl per JS1? (assuming all the waves are equal)
- 900 ppl got offers (so 75% percent, again this assumes that all JS1s are the same, sounds like the early JS1s have a higher chance?)

Additionally, to estimate how many ppl are in a wave, one could see how many slots are available in the HLS calendar right when the JS1s are sent out and in a couple of days see how many slots were taken :).

Yeah but it's a big assumption to say that all waves were of equal size and weight

To all the people asking about my math, I would say Black Mirror hit the nail on the head (I used some slightly different assumptions however). The 1200 number comes from an interview JS did awhile back that's been cited in multiple past threads.

Of course, the sizes of the waves are different but I was just presenting the averages.

a ton of yall have also been asking where I got the idea that early JS1s have a higher acceptance rate than later ones. Heres the thread I was referring to: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=252298&start=800

look at the 11th post from the top of that particular page.

Try to not drive yourself crazy thinking that something is wrong with your application - sometimes it's just the way the process works. Your numbers are strong, but not everybody can be in the first couple of waves of interviews.

That is true. Thanks, Piggy.

Will there be new interview slots for next week for whom none of the remaining open ones work?

Probably nothing wrong- I submitted on the 9th and only went complete yesterday. It's possible some of the people checking the apps for completion are a bit slower or more swamped.

I'm not sure, but I did see that there's been a 20% increase in LSAT takers for June and 10% for September. I feel like it's very likely there is an increase in applicants as well so maybe also more interviews? https://www.lsac.org/lsacresources/data ... ministered

probably doesn't mean anything, but there is a lone day of interviews in between two empty weeks on december 19, with slots at 9:30am and 7pm. maybe that is decision day...

I think they add the slots gradually, but that empty week of 12-15 (?) might be a sign :). You also cannot see a slot once it's taken, so maybe there were more slots on the 19th?

I received an invite about a week ago. By the time i check for slots all the suitable ones are taken, and the only available ones have a travel conflict. Are they going to open more for next week? Week after?
