That would depend on what you score on the December LSAT. But strictly speaking, your odds get worse the later you wait in the cycle.

Would applying in early November be considered early, mid, or late?

Early/Mid

e: Typically timing is considered: Before November = Early; Before January 1= Mid/Normal; After Jan 1 = Late

Question- I know everyone always says top three don't offer any merit based scholarships and I've read about the base loan on harvards financial aid site but their ABA 509 still shows 4 students with full tuition and 5 with over full tuition. Does anyone know where those offers are coming from? Thanks!

Tbh, there could be specific extenuating circumstances for those students since it is such a small number. My guess is that they are high-profile admits. The Malalas of the world.

I believe certain joint JD/PhDs receive full funding for both law and their PhD program.

Edit: See http://hls.harvard.edu/dept/sfs/financial-aid-policy-overview/special-populations/jdphd/ "JD/PhD students may also be eligible to apply to the coordinated JD/PhD program for funding to cover some or all of their law school tuition and mandatory fees not otherwise paid for with need-based grants."

This is true. Also, H does provide up to full tuition need-based grants, though the number of people who would qualify for those after factoring in personal and parent resources and personal income is probably quite small.

Also, now that Knight-Hennessy is a thing, Stanford does offer full rides to law students, albeit, not through the law school. Remains to be seen how many, etc.

I'm not aware of a similar program at Harvard like KH, but perhaps?

Splitting hairs here, but KH is much more lucrative than (my understanding of) a full ride. Covering room + board/health insurance/travel - essentially a value of ~$40,000 on top of full tuition, as well as seed funding for social impact ventures. Like a full ride on steroids.

No similar program at Harvard as far as I know. I was just making the point that it’s no longer true that HYS don’t offer merit aid. No idea where the fullies from Harvard come from.
