That said, it's not exactly hard to commute from Columbia to anywhere else, so, uh, just live in Brooklyn or downtown.
Getting all the way to Columbia from Brooklyn could take quite a while
Depends on where, but it shouldn't be more than like, 45 min - 1 hr. Which you get used to, and is totally worth it to not live in Morningside Heights
That would be a magical day for sure.

With all the subway issues lately, I feel like you'd have to plan for a 2 hour commute, to be safe.

Just don't take the numbered trains. Ever.
+1,2,3.
Avoid at all costs.

really hope you're right, friend.
they specifically told me: "there are a lot of people freaking out on blogs and whatnot about not getting an interview, if you have a friend who applied and didn't get one tell them not to worry it's not a bad sign"

so 1. adcomms def read TLS haha and 2. she would know, so for real guys don't worry you're all good!
Yeah this definitely makes me feel better. As a reach/borderline K-JD applicant whose fall grades they requested, the lack of interview request was getting me paranoid. Hoping to here back the first week of January. If I get in I don't even know if my body has the capability of expressing the level of joy/relief/anxiety I will experience.
Did you apply ED? I'm in the same boat, they wanted my fall grades and I sent them in on Monday. I thought they still had to have a decision by December since I did ED? You don't think you'll hear back until January?

I'm ED but I won't have my grades until Christmas Eve probably, so yeah.

Is there anyone on this blog who applied for ED and has not heard yet? (Except those who just submitted their fall grades.)

For those sending fall grades, how are you doing that? Are you requesting a new transcript, or emailing saying “here’s what I got” with a screenshot of online grades? My last grade got put in last night so I want to send mine in today

They told me to send them a screenshot while simultaneously having the school immediately send a new transcript to LSAC

I just wrote an email with what my grades were , they didn't seem to have a problem with it. And requested a new transcript.

Thank you! That’s what I’ll do then. Are you both doing the same for other schools (sorry if this isn’t proper etiquette in the Columbia thread)? Like other t14, are you sending an email saying “I got this GPA and these grades and have sent a new transcript”?

Columbia is the only school that requested my grades so they're the only one I'm sending the screenshot to. Otherwise the rest will get notified when LSAC processes the official one.

When you get that email and you know you are about to get a C so you study your butt off to get it to a B+. My GPA is the same even with these new grades, I wonder what exactly they want to see....

Well I just had my worst GPA of my entire college career so I can kiss Columbia goodbye now I guess.

I did! There is an interesting thing I'm practicing in this period and I thought it was worth some lines... It's not actually so "fun", it's interesting and it didn't come up anywhere else in my app!

Just a list. Nothing long, I put like 4 or 5 items.
