I received a hidden waiver today so everyone who's looking for one should check their accounts.

I submitted my app 2 days ago and got an invite today to attend a Columbia information session at my local university.
Is that a good sign?!

Emails are out. Interestingly, they mention that the waiver is based on "LSAT alone."

Correct, I got a waiver just now and I would not have gotten one if they considered GPA.black_mirror wrote:Emails are out. Interestingly, they mention that the waiver is based on "LSAT alone."

Well this makes me even more bummed. 177 LSAT. Guess I'm hoping an email pops up in the next few minutes. I did get an email inviting me to a session at my undergrad, despite graduating 3 years ago.black_mirror wrote:Emails are out. Interestingly, they mention that the waiver is based on "LSAT alone."

Yep, have received many a fee waiver from other schools. Oh well. I'm still a few weeks away from being ready to apply, so I'll keep my hopes up that a waiver eventually comes in. Columbia is a top choice for me.black_mirror wrote:allezallez21 wrote:black_mirror wrote:Emails are out. Interestingly, they mention that the waiver is based on "LSAT alone."

That is even more interesting. I wonder if this is some form of yield-protect? Keep us posted and good luck, hope you get the waiver soon!allezallez21 wrote:Yep, have received many a fee waiver from other schools. Oh well. Got the fee waiver today. Hard to imagine that it was based on my LSAT score alone (which is not that impressive) and didn't factor in my high GPA or the fact that I'm a URM.

SOAB - I just couldn't wait any longer for the waiver and submitted Monday. And yet clearly there are people who should have gotten waivers and didn't?? BIZARRE. Knowing my luck wouldn't have gotten one anyway (LSAT 171).
