How hopeful are we for ED holds this next Jan wave? I believe rejections start flowing in at the beginning of February, so is it save to assume that if you're not in the next wave (as an ED hold), that you're getting dinged/ WL?

My understanding based on the hold letter is that all ED holds will receive a decision of admit, WL, or deny by the end of Januarythrowaway109381 wrote:How hopeful are we for ED holds this next Jan wave? That's what I thought too until I looked back on MyLSN to see the exact dates waves went out in the past. I noticed that for many of the previous years, rejection/ WL waves went out in Feb (some of those included were ED holds). Perhaps they'll stiffen up the deadline this cycle.Fitzwallace wrote:My understanding based on the hold letter is that all ED holds will receive a decision of admit, WL, or deny by the end of Januarythrowaway109381 wrote:How hopeful are we for ED holds this next Jan wave? He prefaces the entire letter by saying “we expect to”. There’s a little wiggle room in there for a delay; the nuance in the letter would make any adcomm proud. Here’s to twiddling our fingers well into February. Dilly dilly!throwaway109381 wrote:That's what I thought too until I looked back on MyLSN to see the exact dates waves went out in the past. Was it only one ED moved to RD person that got in this week?

Anyone know if there's precedent for multiple waves in one week? Esp. with ED holds?Ron.Swanson wrote:Radio silence, fellow Helds?

If you see the poll above, Johann is clearly listening to the eight goofballs who don't want him to give the people what they want.Fitzwallace wrote:Anyone know if there's precedent for multiple waves in one week? Esp. with ED holds?Ron.Swanson wrote:Radio silence, fellow Helds?

How long did it take to receive material in mail after admission? I was admitted 1/16. Just curious for the swag.

I was accepted the same day, that survey email they sent out right afterwards said it would be mailed within a week to 10 daysjoefi94 wrote:How long did it take to receive material in mail after admission? I was admitted 1/16. Just curious for the swag.
