I was planning to apply around Nov-Dec, when my app will be perfect, but I will actually apply as soon as the first one here will post his admission, with an incomplete application, rushing the personal statement and forgetting the addenda I prepared carefully in advance.

Finally got my letter last night after getting in via admitted students website last Wednesday -- Does anyone know how the scholarship process works? The letter didn't say much... would any offer have come with the acceptance letter?

Apparently in February they email everybody basically asking for a starting point then in March they start making offers.

I was just gonna ask this same question. And I didn't get a fee waiver either but got in!

For those that did an alumni interview, how long did it take for your alumni to contact you?

I interviewed with an alum on 12/21 and haven't heard anything back yet, is anyone else in the same boat? I'd rather not contact their office but I thought for sure if they didn't want me I would have been in one of their waitlist/hold/ding waves by now.

do you mind sharing where you're depositing instead of GTown? living in DC it feels like everyone is Georgetown or bust so I'm curious to hear what people choose over it

So here's a basic question: Are interviews a necessary condition for acceptance?

No, many applicants are accepted without an interview.

How long has it been taking for ED applicants to hear back?

Also, is it possible to be accepted yet be unable to access the admitted students site?

Two weeks after my ED application went complete on the status tracker. My letter was dated a weel before I actually received it.

It took another week for me to get access to the admitted students site after I got my letter.

I believe they promise to mail out your decision within three weeks of your complete date via the status tracker - as long as your app goes complete before Feb 1. However, it could take a good while after those three weeks to get the actual letter. Snail mail is appropriately named.

Good luck!

I was RD not ED but my acceptance letter was dated 1 week after my interview, I was able to log on to the admitted students site almost two weeks after my interview, and got my letter 5 days after I could log on to the site. So yes, I was accepted almost a week before I got access to the site but still before I received my acceptance letter.

For ED applicants: Has anyone been dinged or waitlisted after the three week decision window from Georgetown? Also, did anyone receive acceptance mail after the three week decision window?

My application went complete on Jan. 2 and I have not heard anything yet. Not sure if this is a good sign or not...

Got an interview two weeks after going complete Jan 2. Had it recently, but that's all I've heard. It's past the window for me now, too.

Yea, I have no idea. I submitted mine around Christmastime, and the interview was the first I had heard from them. Anybody's guess at this point. Fingers crossed for us both!
