Checking in. Haven't started my PS and waiting on 2 extraordinarily lazy professors to respond to my follow up regarding LORs. Hoping to get all apps in by Oct 1.

Unsolicited waiver via email. Still not sure if I'll apply or not.

With your numbers it'd be foolish not to. Even if you don't think you'd attend its best to apply and see how $$ shakes out across the board

UChicago pls love me with a fee waiver. Historically it seems they're not too solicitation friendly but it's worth a shot.

If money's not tight I'd say go for it. I have similar numbers and am definitely gonna throw an app their way

I got a waiver, but only when I checked the app on my LSAC account, did everyone get an email about it?

Edit: I'm dumb and didn't check my spam, email with waiver went there.

I solicited a while back, was given a non-answer, but got one today! Really relieved.

^ yes I got an email.

Any one else planning on attending the prospective students' open house at the end of October? It's a bit out of the way for me, but I'm originally from Chicago and it's my birthday that weekend so I'm already off of work.

tfw no waiver.

Edit: nvm I have a waiver but don't see an email in my inbox, nor do I see one in spam
Edit2: Not in my inbox, not in my spam, but in my "all mail" folder. I wonder how many emails I never see because of this.

Checking in!

Question: Will Chicago send out more fee waivers after the September LSAT scores come out? I didn't do as well as I thought I could in June (and am much more prepared this time around, so I think I can definitely get a better score this time) and I did not get a fee waiver. I'm definitely applying either way since Chicago is my #1, but a fee waiver would help a bunch.

Quick app question: Is everyone listing the other schools they're applying to? I just noticed they ask at the end of Section 8. "Law School Interest"

Dear comrades,

I'm checking out. After some strategy planning I decided not to apply to Chicago (not an easy decision) due to some policy they have about international students.

I just wanted to wish you all good luck, I really hope you all get into UChicago - so that I can have less competition anywhere else!

Bye!

I did. No harm in being honest and I'm not the first applicant they've ever had who blanketed the T13
