Just got my admissions packet but no scholarship. Does this mean I didn't get a merit award at all?

You’ll probably get another letter in a couple days that says this, but all other scholarships will be disbursed in January and Februarybluejay928 wrote:Just got my admissions packet but no scholarship. Does this mean I didn't get a merit award at all?

Quick q. What does UR1 and UR2 stand for?
and I have been seeing folks starting to worry. I have been "application under review" since the beginning of November and I am well within their range. I guess it's too early to tell.

It's when the date changes in the under review section of your status checking. The idea is that it indicates movement in the review of your applications. Ex/ when I went UR2, aka my date for the under review section updated, I got my interview request a couple of hours later. It's a helpful tool for tracking progress for us as we wait out this seemingly never ending cycle.jkander31 wrote:I understand it is under review 1 and under review 2, but whats the difference?

I'm going straight from work and it is Monday and I am tired and I REFUSE to wear a suit (female here). I'm wearing a dress and a sweater.TLS wrote:Bumping this, considering the reception is tonight. A v-neck cardigan does wonders to balance out a strong jaw.cwasser3 wrote:That's what I'm doing too. Also, thanks for making me picture Gore in a dress

The reception was interesting... there was a very brief intro speech (well, a couple), but basically you have to do all the rest and talk to everyone. It's a mix between alumni, admission reps, admits (as in, people who have been accepted this cycle), and current/prospective applicants.
There's plenty of opportunity to talk to reps and/or Dean Faulk, so it really is what you make of it. They are all super nice and very approachable. Alumni also had a lot of great things to say.
Heads up: there seems to be one coming up for New York, so I would definitely go if you get an invitation.

Do you know when the NYC event is? Did they already send out invitations for the NYC event?

One of the admissions reps mentioned that they were planning "a similar event in New York", but she did not say when specifically (or if it's a done deal for that matter).jkander31 wrote:AlPastor wrote:The reception was interesting... there was a very brief intro speech (well, a couple), but basically you have to do all the rest and talk to everyone.
