ASW tends to be updated later in the day, and historically there are no dings until the beginning of February.

ASW tends to be updated later in the day, and historically there are no dings until the beginning of February.

I'm right there with you! UR1 11/13 UR2 12/21, no DLS and no email. Wouldn't worry too much tbh. The waiting sucks but based on last year it seems like there's still room for a few more waves of acceptances before they start handing out WL/Dings.

Yea but regarding not getting an email, due to what we have seen with this DLS wave its probably not a bad sign if you are still UR2.

More difficult to say what it means with an email and good stats. Likely is nothing

sorry to interrupt the stream of people who went DLS, but quick question for the more initiated: does NYU go straight from processing to UR? Like are you immediately considered under review once they process your entire file? Last Friday I was still processing, didn't check over the weekend, and now there's a UR status

My theory last week has been proven! Email went to everyone who was UR2 and NOT receiving a DLS in the next wave. Now... if only this meant anything for my own acceptance I'm still UR1 12/5 !!!

UR1 is the date when your status changes to Under Com Review.

Probably definitely for yield protection. They are accepting people who they think NYU will be their best option (best ranked acceptance). For people above both 75ths... they assume applicants are hoping for Columbia, HYS (NYU safety)... Unless maybe a Why NYU essay was included?
