I've got a good feeling about NYU and Penn waivers this week. I think this is when they came out last year...

Does anyone have examples of "Why X" statements? Or a forum in which they've been posted in previous cycles?

There are legitimately Why X example-ish pages on this very website

Any Atlanta area people going to the Duke/Cornell/Stanford/UChicago info session next week? Each dean of admissions will be there, would it be worthwhile to go? What could I expect?

I'm applying now, quick little $5 profit plus there's an outside chance that it could be useful in negotiations.

Got a UCLA fee waiver. Wasn't going to apply, but honestly might now.

Didn't get Alabama though.

Going to go ahead and apply to 'Bama. It's a five dollar profit so why not ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Their offer seems ethically questionable. But then again, IANAL. (I think I will go ahead and do it as well. I wonder how long it will take to get gift card.

Fee waiver question - does anyone know if it's worth mentioning a Fulbright in waiver requests in addition to the usual GPA/LSAT info? I know that most softs don't matter all that much, but based on Berkeley's criteria for solicited waivers any chance fellowships might be an exception?

I'm still waiting for a Starbucks gift card Penn State promised me from last year, so I have trust issues when it comes to these types of incentives

They sent me two last year! Maybe I got yours

Penn waiver in, but nothing from NYU (pretty close to the top of my list)

I solicited 3 weeks ago, nothing left to do right?
