Also have my WUSTL skype interview tomorrow, any tips from people who have done it? Should I dress in a full suit or more business casual?
How do you ask for fee waivers? Do you just email the schools?
Yep just email with your stats and ask nicely.

Play it safe with a suit & tie.
...Let's say, for the sake of argument, that some of us don't own/know how to tie a tie. Does it come off bad if just a button up shirt?

I have some hope that by 4 years from now sweatpants and a stained free T-shirt will be standard courtroom attire.

I interviewed last cycle with them, and I wore what I had worn to work that day. It was business casual (collared shirt and vest). Mary Ann was dressed similarly (for women obvi). They admitted me instantly and two days later offered a full+15k/yr stipend.

Bottom line: Look presentable and I doubt any thought will be given to what you're wearing

That's what they offered me last cycle. I believe it's called the Dean's Scholarship

This is now my plan in lieu of learning how to tie a tie.

Has anyone else been checking LSAC just to see which schools have updated their applications to show that the Fall 2018 JD apps are posted (but still not open). I have and it's starting to get a bit too real

No, but I will post to ask you which applications are posted. Any schools yet?

From my personal school list, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, Michigan, Duke and Cornell are all up. However, you can't click on them; all of their pages say they'll be fully available in late August or September 1.

Like the Avril Lavigne crowd, the "works at Macaroni Grill" crowd, or the "I'm just going to learn how to tie a tie" crowd?

I think I was taught when I was like 8 but I have never really needed to know since then. I DO have a clip on that I wore to formal occasions in middle school somewhere

the first one, sadly. Although I kinda grew out of it after sophomore year I think. Around 15 or so I realized that ties and plaid skirts should not be worn at public schools lol.

Would've been way cooler if you worked at Macaroni Grill. I'd tell you to add "Writing my name upside down" to your resume ASAP.

Panicking over rec letters right now. Is it really hard to reach former profs in the summer, or is it just me?

Its hard to reach current profs too! I requested my letters in April and I finally got one uploaded to my account, but its still radio silence from my second rec. I just requested another from a backup prof who is on campus for the summer so hopefully I should have at least 2 before September 1st.

Question: Should you always write LSAT addendum to explain a big jump? I went 160 to 171 because I just didn't study the first time (probably should have just cancelled but oh well), and was also sick the day of. But the former wasn't like because of a death in the family, I was just depressed at the end of an relationship. Is this seen as something you should say or does it just (possibly accurately) make me sound like I slide into worthlessness at the slightest provocation?
