NDLS WAITLIST c/o 2020

Post by NDLS2020hopeful » Thu May 04, 2017 9:32 am

Are you on the Notre Dame Law School waitlist?

If so, since when?
Stats?
Have you heard anything from admissions since being placed on the waitlist?

WL, since late 2016 here! Numbers: <25 LSAT, =50 GPA
Strong softs
Visited campus, sent LOCI, have kept reasonable communication with admissions folks- now just hoping to be admitted... *wishful thinking*

Hoping for some movement soon!

Although their waitlist does not seem to be ranked, does anyone know whether they have a priority waitlist and a regular waitlist- or is it just one big waitlist?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but based on LSN it does not seem that there has been any waitlist movement at all yet.

Checking in here!
DLS on April 19, WL letter received on April 24; 25<LSAT<50, GPA<25. Strong softs.
Sent a LOCI the day I received my WL letter haha. My status checker updated with a tickbox next to "Addenda, Other Essay or Docs (Optional)" (in addition to changing to "Receiving Waitlist Consideration" on 4/25/17).

Same question about WL rankings - does anyone know if there's a priority waitlist? I'm most certainly not on it...

Regarding movement, last year they started pulling people around this time. I haven't been on long, but I sent a very strong LOCI so I'm hoping there's a chance!

Been on the WL since late 2/28; LSAT<25, 50<GPA<75

Sent two LOCIs, just received an email today saying they're preparing to review applicants and asking me:

1. If I was still interested
2. What my current plans are regarding my legal education

They then offered me the opportunity to set up a phone conversation with them or to just discuss over email.

Anyone else receive this email?

I received it too, I had sent a LOCI mid last month. LSAT around 25 GPA >75.

It would seem they are pulling mainly reverse splitters from the waitlist, assuming our sample size of 2 is representative.

Did you set something up with them already? I talked on the phone this morning. It was a pretty relaxed conversation. (I hope it went well!)
Do you happen to be in UG? I'm still in, so they asked me about updating my transcript. They also said that an updated transcript could get you off the waitlist, so potential good news for those still in UG and performing well!
Apparently, they've already started pulling off a few people from the waitlist, but there should be some movement in the next coming weeks, especially after their second deposit deadline (6/1). Let's all hope for more movement next week!

I had just sent an email and corresponded with her back and forth a little. I just graduated and she also asked to see my transcripts, I sent them. My status checker just changed this morning to show "Decision Mailed" with a little box for a seat deposit!

Congrats! That's awesome :)
Hopefully we'll see some more movement soon - I wonder if there's anything else I can do to improve my chances... (short of visiting - I work full time and would have a hard time getting out there this time of year) Already sent them my LOCI!

It looks like from what I've heard, 10 people have been taken off the waitlist so far. I am not sure how accurate that is, but if so it seems as though the first wave may have happened within the past week.

Can anyone confirm this?

It seems like they send out a feeler email and then movement happens quickly thereafter.
Has anyone heard from NDLS this week?

Did they say anything about scholarships in the email? Or was it in the packet?

I received an acceptance email and then a follow up email with scholly info. I checked status checker afterwards and it changed just as Zuko mentioned.

I got another email several hours after the official university acceptance email that had my scanned acceptance and scholarship offer documents in it! My acceptance packet also had scholarship info in it but I found out that same day.

Has anyone heard of any movement on the waitlist recently? Will there be a second wave of acceptances this year?

Friend just got in this morning after doing a phone interview yesterday. The interview was rather brief, they just asked her about her plans. She was a reverse splitter and also had an increase in her GPA her last semester. They contacted her about a week after she updated her transcript. So movement still might be happening!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
