Yeah military officer. But nothing extraordinary. Applied in November.

Hey, me too. Are you doing FLEP by chance?

A close friend (already admitted) is doing FLEP. That being said, to whatever extent someone can be a "shoe-in" at HLS this person was that (also at median for LSAT and >75 for GPA).

I think I'm going to, but moreso for next cycle than a last minute desperate push for Harvard.

How long is your LOCI, fellow WLers? One page single space is the norm, right?

Another cycle Rigo?!?! I don't know how you do it. I barely survived doing this once, let alone more than two.

Yeah I definitely have issues. Haha
Had dinner with my buddy the other day and we're making cool plans for this summer/fall travel-wise so now I'm looking forward to that more than law.

Never mind. It may be too late to register, at least in the NYC area -- only the waiting list is still available.

This would be fitting. I give (myself) very good advice but often don't follow it, or whatever that Alice in Wonderland line is.
I was talking to an adcom at ASW and was asking about how she got to where she is. Was considering that path more than the school tbh.

Wait. Why should we even care? Starting next year, you don't even NEED the LSAT to go to HLS.

I shouldn't feel weirder about getting into HLS off the waitlist with a low (by HLS standards) LSAT than anybody should feel about getting into HLS without having taken the LSAT at all.

Also, from the waitlist spreadsheets in past years, they're going to be making all decisions in May pretty much -- well before the June LSAT scores are released in early/mid-July. I don't see a single person say they got in in July or August, though perhaps those folks, like the majority of applicants, don't post a thing on TLS.

So, having browsed through the actual threads (not just the spreadsheets), maybe a couple of people each year do get in as late as July -- but virtually none in late July or August, so the likelihood that a June LSAT can do anything is pretty damn close to zero.

Better that way. At least one aspect of this process is officially over and done with.

No. My wife wants a career and it has become abundantly clear that she can't have that in the Army. Although I may try to go reserve JAG. Are you doing FLEP?

So, I sent an update with a brief LOCI a little bit before getting waitlisted.

I have since visited (I was there anyways for other reasons) and have a zillion new reasons why I love Harvard.

Thoughts on whether sending another update/LOCI is warranted and on the timing of it? If I don't send one does it look like I am not interested or will it look respectful given I had just sent a letter shortly before the waitlist?

Sure. Part of me wishes I had retaken in Feb, but f**k it. It's officially in the past now.

Whats the consensus on whether it means anything if you were a JS1 -->WL applicant? I got my JS1 in late March and was WL'd a week later. Is it more favorable to be in this group than a JSNone? Does this mean I definitely botched the interview? Stats: GPA way below median, LSAT above median.

Received wisdom from last year's thread says:

- Pre-waitlist JS1 > no pre-waitlist JS1
- Post-waitlist JS1 > pre-waitlist JS1

Don't know how strong that first "greater than" sign is though. There are plenty of JS1 --> WL every year, so I doubt it means you did anything in particular wrong.

Your GPA puts you solidly in WL territory; on LSN there is only one legit non-URM/international acceptance at ~3.5 or lower, and that one dude(ette) was a vet. I'm sure that was waaaay more of a consideration than your interview. The fact that you already got a JS1 probably bodes as well as anything else for your WL chances.

Kind of curious what did you when you visited, other than walk around and marvel at the architecture of their pretty buildings? They won't let people go to classes, which is kind of important to me, so kind of wondering what's the point of visiting...
