I think they will send out waitlist updates every 2-3 weeks. So you won't be ghosted, but you still might die a slow death.SybillAnnDorsett wrote:I honestly beg for merciful death at this point. rejection now is better than rejection in august after a summer of being ghosted.melmelcoolj wrote:Oh god. fingers crossed. but it would also be nice just to have some closure.ad34964n wrote:Looks like this day last year was the first day waitlist rejection emails went out...

Re: Penn Law c/o 2020 - WAITLIST
I was told last year that I didn't get off the waitlist the second week in September. So it is possible to hear nothing for quite a long time...it wasn't full ghost tho, they did send some update emails asking if you wanted to remainmelmelcoolj wrote:I think they will send out waitlist updates every 2-3 weeks. Kendrick is a better rapper, but Drake is an icon imo. he makes bops.jamesmangi wrote:Kendrick or Drake?Nightwing wrote:+1SybillAnnDorsett wrote:someone shoot me.
and I'd argue Kendrick hasn't made anything as good as M.a.a.d city

I like damn a lot, but maad city has a special place in my heart
I think Kendrick is a better rapper, but I like Drake's one-liners and punchlines a lot. Kendrick is better at internal rhymes and telling a story for sure, but Drake has sooooo many more quotables ya feel

CAN YOU TELL ME what it is that Penn is doing these days? Literally no reports of offers on here or acceptances on LSN, no email no phone call no movement, nothing! are they really just doing these informational meetings day in and day out?

I won't get too into it, but I'll put it like this: Kendrick is the better artist and Drake is the better entertainer.

Re: Penn Law c/o 2020 - WAITLIST
Kendrick's creativity in not only his variety of rhyme schemes, and subject matter, but the producers he works with (from abstract electronic artists like FlyLo and funk artists like Thundercat) I think really pushes the genre. To do that and also maintain mainstream relevance also really sets him apart as an artist. I'm not a huge Drake fan (mainly because I get told at least a few times a week that I look like the dude ), but from what I do hear, I don't think he has that level of experimentation and depth in his music. That's fine though because I don't think that's what he's aiming for either.jamesmangi wrote:idkSybillAnnDorsett wrote:agreed.Instrumental wrote:I won't get too into it, but I'll put it like this: Kendrick is the better artist and Drake is the better entertainer.

Maury: "You said you weren't going to get too into it and the lie detector determined that was a lie."

Re: Penn Law c/o 2020 - WAITLIST
not the Maury quote!!! the gag is I have to agree with everything Instrumental just said because it's irrefutable. Drake stay relevant sampling other people's music all the time.
is the end result pleasing to the ear? does it generate twerkage of unparalleled magnitude? is "gyalchester" playing right now? yes to all. but Kendrick is a true artist.
