I applied late October and haven't heard back and Temple''s also my first choice. Going nuts !!!phillygirl77 wrote:Has anyone who applied mid-November heard back yet? I've heard back from most of the other schools I applied to but Temple is kind of my first choice and I'm getting irritated with the waiting game.

One of only 3 schools Im waiting to hear back from...and naturally this is my first choice.
I sent my app on 11/23 and was awaiting Dec16 scores. Those were released, and so my application was complete, on 1/3/17. Haven't heard a thing yet.

The date on my status checker FINALLY changed to 1/17 (applied 11/23) but still nothing on a decision. Did this happen to anyone else?

Accepted!
Applied 12/08. Accepted 1/16.
A bit surprised at the turn around given the holidays and my LSAT & GPA both under median. Hopefully I'm equally lucky with the scholarship info.
Congrats to all admitted! And good luck to those still waiting!

Struck out in the scholarship department, so chances are I will not be attending unless Temple will meet me in the middle during scholarship negotiations. (not holding my breath though)

Got a flat no from them just recently when trying to negotiate. Had higher scholarships in terms of percentage at other schools much higher ranked too, which seemed weird. Hope you get better luck from them than I did.fattsdomino wrote:Struck out in the scholarship department, so chances are I will not be attending unless Temple will meet me in the middle during scholarship negotiations. Update. Still waiting. However, while my status remained complete...the status date was updated to 1/23. Anybody have insight on what this means? Is it actually in review?
I'm honestly not holding my breath at an acceptance. LSAT is comparably low for Temple (156 and a 153 on a retake. YIKES) but GPA is above their 75th...not that GPA carries much weight from what I've gathered on these forums. The waiting game still sucks

Re: Temple C/O 2020 (2016 - 2017) Applicants
I applied 11/15, status update 11/18, no movement since then. I applied 2 cycles ago and got accepted with a full scholly, I declined to go to school at the time since I wanted to get some work experience and make sure I wanted to go to law school. I've heard back from Villanova and I'm basically just waiting for Temple. I doubt that I will get the offer I got before from them since it seems like they're being a little less generous this year but I'm frustrated that I haven't seen any movement and that I haven't heard back yet.rjw1994 wrote:rjw1994 wrote:One of only 3 schools Im waiting to hear back from...and naturally this is my first choice.

I'm a current 1L at Temple. The school is not really represented much on here, so feel free to reach out with questions if you have any.

Waitlisted as of yesterday. Honestly, it wasn't a surprise to me at all and I'll take a WL over a flat out rejection. Now I just have to figure out how to write a LOCI.

How did you try to negotiate? Did you just email admissions/ let them know of your other offers? Thanks in advance.ndjwaq08 wrote:Got a flat no from them just recently when trying to negotiate. Emailed admissions with the offers from the other schools, numbers included. I explained my connection with Temple, I'm from the area, and how much I wanted to go there but it was hard to turn down the other, better offers. They offered to look back at my case later on but that sounded more like courtesy rather than actually looking again. Still, I am planning on sending another email in the Spring since most applicants will have been processed by then.m1304 wrote:How did you try to negotiate? I will probably try to negotiate but I don't expect anything. It will be interesting to see how Temple's slight stinginess fairs with Villanova upping both their class size and their scholarships.

I applied 2/16 - admitted today with 20k. 162/3.63 - was hoping for a full ride based on the fact that I know people admitted last year from my school with a 161/3.51; 161/3.83 who both got full rides. Even someone who had a 159/3.9 who got a full ride.
Also applied to Nova but Temple is first choice - wondering if I get a full ride at nova if I could talk with them about matching.
