Congrats! I think that's a really good offer (I have a much lower GPA and much higher LSAT, and I got about 20k less than you, so that's all I really have to reference though). I would say that going to them with your UIUC/Iowa full rides would be enough to try and negotiate. You could also try and bump Minnesota up (they have it in writing that they'll reconsider scholarships) and use your new Minnesota number to try and negotiate a full ride from IU.SNightHighlights wrote:165/3.73 (it went up after this semester though from a 3.67). I got 127,500. Is that good for my numbers or do I have some grounds to negotiate a little? I want to get IU up as high as I can because I have a full ride from UIUC and Iowa, and 100k from Minnesotta that I want to bring to Notre Dame for negotiations in February. I don't want to be an ass if 127,500 is already a good offer for my numbers though.
Phone charger comes separately! I was also sad when mine didn't come in my acceptance packet but it came a week or so later.floatie wrote:Got my acceptance envelope in the mail. I was kind of sad that there wasn't a phone charger included
Oh okay, I was worried they had run out! I don't know why I have such strong feelings about getting a free phone chargerareyn22 wrote:Phone charger comes separately! I tried to negotiate with my home state offers, but they basically just said that I can take out loans to cover the costs and that I should do my best to budget accordingly lolDoYouEvenTLS wrote:Does IU negotiate scholarship offers?
I'm definitely pleased with the amount they gave me, but I have tempting offers in my home state.
mind sharing any stats or what you countered withliuwenyu wrote:I tried to negotiate with my home state offers, but they basically just said that I can take out loans to cover the costs and that I should do my best to budget accordingly lolDoYouEvenTLS wrote:Does IU negotiate scholarship offers?

I missed it and he left a voicemail. Double check yours to see if he left a message because I didn't see it for like two weeks because I never set mine up lol.em15 wrote:Missed a call from the dean of admissions today. He left a message, but do I call back?
Yeah, he left me a message about similar stuff! Ok, thank you!! I didn't want to call and waste his time being that he already said everything he wanted to say haha. He said I'd get a call from the head of IP, so hopefully I don't miss that one too!Torres1893 wrote:I missed it and he left a voicemail. What he mentioned was my PS/LORs and interests and congratulated me for the acceptance. He didn't say anything about calling back, so I didn't, but if you want to I'm sure they will answer.
Oh thanks... It was actually 2.2...chargers21 wrote:2.1 gpa and lower will land you on academic probation so I would consider the 2.2 number to be good standing. Many schools have their number set at 2.3, for reference. If I remember correctly, basically the only people to lose these types of scholarships are dropping out or failing out anywayspyramidenergy888 wrote:I got a scholarship from IU but it says that I have to maintain a 2.2 GPA... is that a stipulation or is a 2.2 necessary to stay in good stnding there?
that is not a "stipulation" like the others warn about. the dangerous ones are like top 50% of class when they give 60% that scholarship and whatnot.pyramidenergy888 wrote:I got a scholarship from IU but it says that I have to maintain a 2.2 GPA... is that a stipulation or is a 2.2 necessary to stay in good stnding there?
