We do! I ended up finding a link to it on one of the monthly newsletter emails they've been sending us. You just have to request to be added, I think.

Sweet, thanks! I'll try and dig that up.

Wish I could attend but I'll see y'all soon enough. I'd recommend a festive Cotton Blazer with cuffed shorts?

Does anyone know how short this wait list is? Is it possible to get off of it? Is there anything else I can legit do?

Have you already sent in a letter of continued interest? Did you get any additional letters of recommendation? Neither of those things will hurt. Although at this point the only way you get in really is if someone gives up their spot. So you could get a call in late August.

So when is everyone getting to Seattle? Would anyone be down for a little TLS get together before classes start?

I know someone who just gave up their spot for a T20. There's definitely still hope if your admission doesn't affect the medians.

Hellllll yeah. I'm getting there at the beginning of August so maybe sometime after that. I'll defer to the judgments of our native Seattleites on a good bar choice.

I have sent in my letters of continued interest, i have had folks send in letters of recommendation on my behalf to the dean of admissions, probably like 4 or 5 letters on top of my 2 originals. The only thing I haven't done is talk to the dean himself, but I am hesitant because I have had so many letters sent in for me. Of course, they are not rando letters, but people who actually can speak to my qualifications. Is it recommended I reach out to the dean?

Can't hurt. If not the Dean, his second-in-command Cristina is also usually around. A one-on-one meeting can at least them know you're serious.

I think when you're in waitlist purgatory, you want to make sure they know that if they give you an offer, you'll accept. Their biggest concern is maintaining the class they put together, in terms of numbers and whatever other criteria they have. If someone drops, they don't want to have to extend an offer that they aren't sure will be taken, or will be taken and then have that person then drop for another school. Set up a meeting, tell them you want to go to UW, ask them if they have concerns or anything else they need, and tell them you'll accept if they extend an offer.

For those who aren't on the Facebook page, some of us are meeting up Saturday 8/19 at the Fremont bar near the U at 5:00. Everyone's welcome!

I just looked at my tuition account balance on the MyUW page. It looks like they haven't factored my scholarship, as the balance says I owe $14,493.00 for fall quarter.

Can another scholarship recipient confirm if this is normal?

Mine's showing the same thing. Looks like they haven't applied scholarships to this yet.

Financial aid doesn't disburse until a week or even just a few days before the quarter begins, while the tuition notices go out around now. The quarter begins at UW on the last Wednesday of September (although law school classes start on the last Monday).

So don't panic. If by September 27 nothing has happened, you can talk to UW Law admissions and the UW Office of Student Financial Aid to figure out what the mixup is.

A warehouse fire ruined the publisher's legal research series...lol. The book is being reprinted and should arrive back in their warehouses next week.
