Will you be taking it in flip flops? Sounds terrible.

Does anyone have any idea or insights into what the odds are of getting in off the waitlist at the University of Washington at this point? This is the spot I'm in :(

Congrats to all of you who have already been admitted!

It's a handful of people, not many. And sometimes the call comes in August. I would just make sure you've sent in a LOCI and met with the admissions folks in person if you can so they know you're ready to commit if they have a spot.

Don't expect a lot of scholarships, if any, off the waitlist.

Hi Employstats1--

Here's the link I was using: https://weblogin.washington.edu

Links to setting up account are to the right of the login. And I used the information on my acceptance letter to set up my account. Let me know if this works. Good luck!

Anyone else get a weird email today saying you're still on the waitlist?

Yes, I got an email saying I was on a shortlist with other wait-list applicants to fill spots throughout the summer. They said that they have reached their current enrollment goal so now its just wait and see if anymore open up.

Just curious, does anyone know when we'll be able to start using our UW email account?

Have you tried to access it through MyUW yet? It should be the link for Change Email Forwarding. For UW alumni (from undergrad or another program), as long as they used their UW email through the Google Apps option, it should still be available. If you're a new student to UW, that's a different ball-game, not sure when it kicks in. Try it and see what happens, or email Dean Le?

Thanks for the response! Yeah I just have the link to change email forwarding under the email section. I'm new to UW though so it sounds like I just need to be patient.

Click that link. You actually may see an option to enable your email on the next page :) if you don't, then yes, you'll have to wait probably.

Has anyone been able to access their UW email account? I created the account, but I can't figure out how to access the inbox. The only option on the My UW page is to forward emails to a personal account.

FYI to all, if you want to set up your email, click the "change email forwarding" link in MyUW. That will take you to a page where you can choose where your UW email goes. Options should include your personal account, UW Google Apps, or UW Office 365. I recommend Google Apps, as it sets up a Gmail account associated with your uw.edu address, and that lets you sync to the Gmail app on your phone, which is pretty handy. Plus, you can keep using it after graduation, last I checked, if it's through UW google apps. (It will expire after graduation if through Office 365/exchange.)

For general IT issues, there are lots of guides on the UW IT website. It's worth clicking around. https://itconnect.uw.edu/help/

Also, you can get discounted and free software through UW as a student, including MS Office. https://itconnect.uw.edu/wares/uware/
https://itconnect.uw.edu/wares/uware/mi ... 5-proplus/

I recommend using the free Office 365, because that will give you a terabyte of OneDrive space. I recommend using a service like OneDrive to backup everything you do on your computer and sync it automatically, so you don't lose notes or other school materials right before finals or any other inconvenient time if your computer fails. This will automatically end once you leave the UW, so just make sure you continue your subscription when you graduate or move your files at that point.

Has anyone submitted the proof of measles vaccination form yet? It looks like we just have to fill out the form on MedProctor. Does anyone know if we have to attach any supporting documentation?

It's kinda confusing. You need a licensed healthcare professional to sign off your "Immunization certificate" I think. If you have a record of "Pos. titer" like me, then I don't know what to do. There's not a spot for it on the Immunization Certificate, however there's an upload link for "MMR titer results" as well as a form which I cannot download under 'required and optional documents. This website is awful.

Quickest way to get help with this is to directly call Hall Health at UW. They manage the immunization requirements for every student entering UW. If you're having issues, they'll probably have answers.

Yeah, I was pretty annoyed with it too. I ended up getting my physician to fill out the immunization certificate form and then uploaded it, but nothing really happened? It shows the form under uploaded documents, but it's still saying my account is incomplete. I was expecting some sort of confirmation but maybe that doesn't happen until later. I was also a little annoyed that they made me pay $10 to turn in this form too especially when I'll probably never use this website again.
