You got this, connordalto. When I was writing my merit $cholly essay, my mantra was "its only 500 words". Goodluck, godspeed!

You can do it, connordalto; just sit down, give yourself a strict time limit, deny yourself a luxury or privilege you want, and bust it out. You'll feel better when it's done. This is often the only way I've mustered motivation to do anything in my 3L year so far.

Thanks for the support haha, today will be the day.

Plus I have an irrational fear that they've already been making decisions and there wont be any money left (though I dont think this is the case at all).

I told them my contribution would be telling undergrads that it is illegal to sit in the cherry blossom trees in the quad and then yelling random statutes at them until they leave. (This has surprisingly been a top priority for campus security the last few years)

I expect to receive my full tuition scholarship by the end of the month.

Also unrelated question.. as your a UW alum will the cherry blossoms be in bloom for ASW in March? Super excited to see those

Anybody else get an email about financial aid? I'm trying to see my award but I don't know how to get a UW NetID. Anyone know?

ETA: Looks like I'm going to have to call the admissions office tomorrow morning to get that info. Not sure why they wouldn't just let us know in the email...

I only received an acknowledgement of 'late application' because I got my FAFSA filled out and sent after their priority deadline.

That's disappointing. Did your email also say they were happy to extend an offer of financial assistance at the beginning?

Nope. I suspect these emails are concerning only our FAFSA-based financial aid from UW, not any additional grants or scholarships from UW Law. I guess we will see tomorrow.

Yeah I guess we'll find out tomorrow one way or the other. Usually I think schools include grants in the initial financial aid award letter. UW may do things differently though.

Okay so same but I was looking around. You've got to call the Registration Office at 206.543.8580 to get a Private Access Code, then you can use that along with your Student ID (should be in most emails you get from UW Admissions) to register for a UW ID at https://uwnetid.washington.edu/newid/. THEN you follow the instructions in the financial aid award email. Quite the process....

Thanks for this, I was super confused on where to get the private access code.

This is weird to me, I also submitted after the deadline but I got the notification that mine was ready. Maybe it was more of a soft deadline.

To be fair, I submitted it fairly late, like maybe a week ago or so...

I checked and unfortunately it's not. You actually have to call in to the registration office to get the information you need to set up the UW NetID. Pretty stupid system.
