Is it completely unacceptable to call and ask about the status of my app? I'm just confused now.

That's probably smart. Very confused at this point since W&M was the first school at which I went complete but I've heard back from every other school.

like i said, they are known for being slow. just write and LOCI and that might jump start your app again.

Does anyone know, realistically, how well W&M places in D.C. or the surrounding Virginia area in terms of BigLaw, medium size, small firms? I couldn't find an on-going thread so thought I would ask here.

Day 104:

Still no light in my dark, cold room. Food is running low. I first I wanted acceptance from the outside, which eventually transitioned to needing a recognition that I'm waiting here. But now, hope is fleeting with my rations. I need an answer, a reasoning, even if it's my termination. I no longer want to exist in this plane.

I just checked LSN and for the last two cycles a MASS email was sent out to everyone that had not yet heard back from W&M on precisely 3/30 notifying them they got put onto the WL. Cheers my friend, because you and I are both desperate for an answer. WL #9 here we go 8)

I applied Feb 15th (Wednesday) and got an acceptance email that same week (Friday)...even seemed oddly fast to me at the time and gave me false hope that others would be quick (they have NOT been)

Anyways, I got in with a 3.23 and 164 and 22k a year. I have a very unique profile (D1 football, finishing MA PolSci in May, 2 years working at a firm) and these must have helped.

The point of saying all this is give hope for the non traditional apps out there, and I would love to help or answer any questions to help any of my fellow applicants!! Please feel free to DM me, I will do my best to answer any questions and will respond to all.

I am gearing up to start the scholly negotiation process, and if anyone has successfully (or unsuccessfully) negotiated at W&M please share any tips because I am open to all and kind of winging it here

Based on LSN looks like W&M is unleashing a lot of Rejections today.

Saw that, hopefully I don't get one. Do they send notification via email or snail mail?

Also withdrawing. Don't see the logic behind months of silence then a waitlist but that's alright. Good luck to everyone else!!

Just got the waitlist email, but I've already decided where I'll be attending in the fall so I'm also withdrawing from the waitlist.
