I think you can just send an email either way

Does anyone know how many people have been taken off reg WL in past years?

Do they start pulling from reg WL pile once SPWL AND PWL become exhausted?

Not sure the number, but they don't have to exhaust the other waitlists before they pull from regular. However first wave of admits is usually SP or P

I thought they only have regular and preferred now.in the email I received, the dean only mentioned there being one other waitlist.

There are two waitlists if you count regular and preferred, but preferred also has a "special group" within that.

Yikes, so movement on the regular waitlist, must be almost impossible?

I'm hopeful as a regular WL. I got a feeler call last week saying that they had spots open and asking where gtown figured in my plans. They told me to expect to hear back on Monday! Apparently they are considering pulling a group of 20 people from from the WLs early next week and from the other TLS thread it seems like about 3-4 of us are regular WLers.

That sounds great! Hoping those of us who actually want to go get pulled off. When did you send your LoCI? I've only gotten that feeler email but no call as of yet. Unless I've missed it

I just got accepted off the waitlist yesterday. I submitted my FAFSA two days ago (crazy late I know) and am currently working on the CSS, but I wont be able to do the yellow app until they give me a student id. Is it possible they will give me a financial aid offer before all those forms are processed? Especially considering how little time I have to commit or withdraw

I believe LSAC says a school cannot ask you to commit if you have not received your financial aid offer/loan package from them yet (might be completely wrong, so maybe check on this).I'd wait until you get closer to your commit deadline, and if you still haven't received financial aid info send out an email to admissions asking for an extension. That said, schools are generally good about sending out financial aid packages quickly at this stage, so I would think the turnaround would be fast once you're able to submit all your forms. But as for your question, no, I don't think they'll send you an offer without all your forms in.

EDIT: Congrats on your acceptance by the way!!!

Don't know about other schools, but Harvard explicitly asks that you commit off the waitlist before any financial aid information.

Oh yeah completely forgot about Harvard's policy. Maybe the LSAC thing I'm thinking of is only non-waitlist acceptances, will edit my post. I do still think it's likely Georgetown would grant an extension. I think Harvard is really the exception here since they also require you to commit almost immediately if accepted off the waitlist.

Thank you! I'm glad to know I should be able to get sufficient time to negotiate offers.

"Member law schools should:
• provide financial aid awards to admitted students who
have submitted a timely financial aid application, before
requesting any commitment"

Again, I'm submitting it late so this might not apply for me. But they won't let me complete the Yellow Application for a few more days, so it's not completely a result of my late fafsa submission.

Anyone else get that email on the class being full as now, so they may not make any further decisions? Starting to worry now. :(

Was this an email you got yesterday? Or the one from last week

The FB group for admitted students has grown by ~40 this week and ~50 last week, so looks like quite a bit of WL movement.
