Nothing in the mail today. Guessing that first acceptances will go out mid-next week based off of last year and accounting for the later application opening this year.

Unfortunately that makes a lot of sense.

They're pretty stingy from what I've heard.

definitely expect to use leverage in order to get a decent scholly.

Sigh...okay, thanks guys

What optional essay are people doing? I was considering doing the "mistake" one, but the only mistake I can think as of right now is majoring in English, but I don't even really view that as a mistake (sure, it's made it harder to convince people I can do marketing, but it's also benefited me in many ways). I was also thinking of talking about how I turned down a full-time job offer for an internship because I thought the experience would be better at the internship. Ended up being a miserable time, but I learned a lot.

I ended up doing the mistake one (not accepting my first job offer), but said it was good because it helped me learn what I wanted and to not be entitled.

It was under "Optional Response" in the application.

I can't figure out which one to do, they've really given me a hard time. I also don't even know what "one phone call" means like when you get arrested?

When I interviewed most of the guys were wearing suit and tie. Most of the girls were dressed more on the business casual side. Andy was wearing a tie himself.

I think the whole point of the questions is to be open-ended enough to be creative. It can be one phone call in reference to whatever you deem fit that tells something about you. If you want an idea, feel free to PM me. I had a hard time with it as well, but that's the question I ended up choosing.

So, last year apps opened on 10 September and letters were sent out on 13 October (with most folks receiving 14-15, and 17 October). This year, apps opened on 15 Sep, so if they follow to the day, letters could be going out.... TODAY! Driving myself crazy with the waiting.

Were they SENT out or RECEIVED? Big difference.

I honestly don't even know how to respond to that.

Wow. Let's pretend I didn't ask.

I think what mp is saying is that if you account for the 5 day difference in when the app became available, decisions may be mailed out as early as today and received as early as Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Fingers crossed!!
