Does Vanderbilt notify you once the people you interviewed receive a decision, or do you just stay in contact with the prospects?arklaw13 wrote:Have any of yours had a decision reached? Yeah, I am really sorry about your situation. They have been ludicrously slow. But according to Spivey, that has been the case across the board. I went complete 11/23 and my interview was prior to that day, and I haven't heard a peep. I really hope you hear back from them at a reasonable time for you. Best of luck!chargers21 wrote:I know... I mean, I'm already in at significantly higher ranked schools so I'm just annoyed by this. Vandy is my "if they give me enough money it might sway me because I like the area" school but waiting for my decision for so long will give me plenty of time to fall more in love with my current top choice who was much faster with their decisionEinassA wrote:they'll use any excuse to delay further lolchargers21 wrote:I'm at/above both medians so I should get in, but I am retaking the LSAT in Feb. I would definitely call and explain the situation. I don't think that's a ridiculous thing to do. Just tell them that you had requested they not hold your app for the score, but it's coming up as held and if they can help you with that...chargers21 wrote:Scores don't come out til MarchEinassA wrote:Yeah, I am really sorry about your situation. Interviewed on 9/16. Application was in on day one. Still nothing. They certainly aren't going to be accused of rushing into anything...

This may be completely wrong, but I feel like when other schools send out decisions they send a pretty large amount at once. I know that LSN does not paint a total picture of activity, but it seems like VLS is only sending out a small number of decisions every few days or so.m052310 wrote:Interviewed on 9/16. On the bright side, I've learned that I am way more patient than I used to think I was.

We can login to the portal and it shows us the current decision for each of our interviewees, but I don't know if we get notified.Gitaroo_Dude wrote:Does Vanderbilt notify you once the people you interviewed receive a decision, or do you just stay in contact with the prospects?arklaw13 wrote:Have any of yours had a decision reached? It could have something to do with them (potentially) overshooting enrollment for 2016. The class size was larger than usual. They may be a little more cautious in doling out acceptances this time around? I don't know. Just grasping at straws here.

Yeah but it doesn't give us intermediate updates, like when you go complete or anything. I think it will just say admitted, waitlisted, or rejected. Won't know for sure until one of my interviewees actually gets a decision...shotgunheist wrote:whoa coolarklaw13 wrote:

Honestly, given how few people work there, I wouldn't be shocked if it were as simple as MLK Day falling earlier than normal so they're taking longer vacations or something

Does anyone know if we can bring guests to the ASP days? In my case, a parent who would be helping me pay for law school. Other schools asked me when I registered if I was brining a guest, but I noticed Vanderbilt didn't.

I brought my wife. I'm sure someone brought a parent along, but I don't remember specifically. I'd just email admissions and let them know.mosunny wrote:Does anyone know if we can bring guests to the ASP days? In my case, a parent who would be helping me pay for law school. Second this.
I'm surprised they didn't admit you, as much as schools are trying to game their statistics by loading up on splitters and reverse splitters.

Not a guarantee but don't feel discouraged about getting WL with those numbers. It is at least 50/50 YP. If you really wanna go there I bet you'll get in.
