On the status checker, they say decisions start mid-december. I don't know whether that's something they say every year or whether they're on a later schedule this year.lazarzhr wrote:Hey y'all! Any decisions come in yet? Just checking in -- application went complete today.
ED applicant also. 164 lsat 3.78 GPA super nervous as well but i think we'll be alright! best of luck!nkayyy wrote:Hey friends!! I applied ED to USC and according to the website, my application is in review. Guaranteed decision by Dec. 16th, so at this point I'm getting a bit anxious, although I have no idea whether to expect news *on* the 16th or earlier.
My stats: 164 LSAT, 3.69 GPA. I'm applying for the Public Interest Scholars program as well... based on what I've heard from the info session, it entails guaranteed summer employment, guidance from the public interest office, mentorship with people who specialize in that. Some scholarship $$$ involved as well. Since I'm hoping to end up working in the nonprofit field in Southern California, it sounds like a dream.
Any other ED applicants? Are you guys feeling as nervous as I am??
I applied with my one page DS that I'm using for every school. I couldn't find the effort to write another page lol.brinicolec wrote:Hey all.
Decided since I have a fee waiver I'd apply here and see what happens. Not sure about Cali for weird reasons I won't get into, but that's beyond the point. I have an app-related question: I have a DS written but it's only one page since that's what most schools have been wanting. USC's instructions say limit to 2-3 pages, so should I extend my DS?!
I just feel like I spent time working to make it concise and at this point, adding a page would just be fluff.Torres1893 wrote:I applied with my one page DS that I'm using for every school. I couldn't find the effort to write another page lol.brinicolec wrote:Hey all.

I also stuck to my 1 page DS, and I agree that adding fluff just to meet a page limit is not the best choice!brinicolec wrote:I just feel like I spent time working to make it concise and at this point, adding a page would just be fluff.Torres1893 wrote:I applied with my one page DS that I'm using for every school. Spivey wrote a blog and basically said that they go through apps in diff. groups. High LSAT first, high GPA second, then everyone else (though I wonder if there's a couple of schools that may be doing high GPA first because they want to increase their GPA stat for this cycle). I'm not sure how URM falls into things, I'd imagine they're probably looked at early on too because of diversity.playersball wrote:I am wondering if they ordered applicants by another factor, such as LSAT or GPA, and are working through them that way. Since it doesn't seem to be in chronological order of application/complete date.
I went complete 11/14 and still no UR eitherThomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:Complete 11/3 and still no UR
FWIW I was never emailed and have been in review for idk how long now.criley01 wrote:Anyone else go under review but not get an email telling them? All I know is that I went under review sometime last week
+1, most if not all of the schools I have applied to did not email me when I went UR. I heard Berkeley does, but haven't gone UR with them.Assasindowntheavenue wrote:FWIW I was never emailed and have been in review for idk how long now.criley01 wrote:Anyone else go under review but not get an email telling them? Same. I think USC worded it awk and meant they'll email ppl when they've decided (and obvi reviewed the app beforehand), not when they start reviewing. And yeah Berkeley does that, but they're unique lol.playersball wrote:+1, most if not all of the schools I have applied to did not email me when I went UR.
