Unless you don't like the sun, the beach, great weather 99% of the year, hiking, shopping, and more, I think you'll like it. If you're worried about guns, plenty of gun enthusiasts in Cali lol. We just have rep of being more strict as a state but pretty sure you'll be fine. If that's the least of your concerns, I think you'll do great here. I should be a pitch man for USC/Cali schools lmao.

The stupid round in chamber indicator on semi-auto pistols and the AR15's that don't even resemble the real thing is what gets me. I have a lot of possessions that are illegal to cross the border with and I would have to part with before starting school in CA. I think I would love the weather and the bass fishing nearby, but I wouldn't be able to spend my money on the same things I already do

Damn didn't think about the AR15 thing. You have a point it'll be different than in your state. But aren't the other top law schools you're looking at also in states that are strict on guns? Or is CA really unique and not comparable to NY, Illinois, other states w t-14 schools?

My other 2 top choices are in NC and Illinois. NC is almost as relaxed as my current state, and Illinois has some tough restrictions in Chicago but only tough-ish restrictions on purchasing guns elsewhere in the state, and still not as bad as NY or CA at all. Plus most guns are legal to at least own in Illinois, so buying them across the border in Indiana is a very popular thing to do. NYC is my least desireable location that I might end up in because of the gun laws combined with the horrible weather

if you don't like horrible weather cross Uchicago off your list brother.

Preach! The mantra for using this type of data should be "I am average". This does not mean you won't be able to be top of your class; it just means that you realize that everyone else in your class is just as smart, talented, etc. as you are. Don't assume that you will be the top because you really can't predict where you'll be class rank wise as a 0L. You just can't.

yeah, for me, I'll be moving really far from home, and if I don't wind up in BL, I will truly be unhappy with the outcome. USC has the main benefit for me of not setting me too far back financially so the financial risk is low, but I have 0 clue as to whether I'm cut out for the types of tests that law school requires

Sorry to get all choosing thread on you, but do you really not have any middle ground option between USC and T6 sticker?

I got ousted by basically everwhere between 19 and 10, which is where my big scholly opportunities were. UM at 75k and Duke at a tiny 54k which needs to be negotiated up still to be even reasonable. Basically I would consider about 4 schools at this point, USC, Chi, Dook, and Berkeley if they ever release financial aid

For people that have heard back already - how long were your applications under review?

I have my Utah, Florida, and Illinois which give me reciprocity in most carrying states, minus TX which makes you do theirs, and Illinois' is by far the biggest pain in the ass. You have to get a FOID card first in order to get a concealed carry. Pointless.

I signed up for both of those. I'll be there that day so I'll see you. You'll probably be able to recognize me off my description of myself before the basketball game lol.

Has anyone that went complete in early March been admitted? I went complete on 3/2 but haven't heard anything (besides getting rejected from their public interest program). I'm using the Feb LSAT (hence the 3/2 completion)... Lemme know!

Ok that makes sense lol. I'll link up with you after. I found that a good amount of TLS people are going. I got a call from SC today and they told me about 78 people have signed up. They usually have about 120 or more people.
