For real, as long as you don't start cursing you'll be admitted. Interview here is a super good sign.studyingeveryday wrote:+1 to the questionPinkpanda24 wrote:haha okay, that was poorly worded. I'm wondering if a month and a half after my interview is long enough to email and ask about my application? For any other school, I probably wouldn't, but considering WUSTL is usually pretty quick, I'm getting worried.88234 wrote:For real, as long as you don't start cursing you'll be admitted. Sent my app a week ago and haven't received a "application received" email. Anyone else in a similar boat? Applied to another school the same day and received acknowledgement the next day.

I interviewed right before Thanksgiving and didn't get in until last week. It seems to vary quite bit with them!Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:I didn't get a decision until like months after my interview last yearstudyingeveryday wrote:I'm wondering if a month and a half after my interview is long enough to email and ask about my application? Did you ever wind up contacting them about this?Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:Ahh ok thanks a bunch!dietcoke1 wrote:Not sure. May be best to contact them just in case!Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:Ohhh wait does that mean they don't even read the app?? I used the lostpassword trick to log into my status checker and it says "application documents received" which I remember someone saying is the equivalent to "Complete."dietcoke1 wrote:I believe you have to contact them and let them know you are reapplying. Otherwise, they will not know.Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:Anyone else reapplying and think that Wash U just doesn't even read our reapplications??
Last year, I got interview requests and bunch of newsletters as soon as I applied, but this year...NOTHING. not even a status checker email.
I was the one who reported that "Application Documents Received" was equivalent to "Complete". Which is what they told me when I asked about this back in November, but the date of my status is still the day after I submitted (late Oct). To me this suggests that they haven't even looked at it yet. I have also let them know that I am a reapplicant. I'm wondering if anyone's had similar results after contacting them.

Is it inappropriate to ask them when scholarship notifications will be sent out?

I don't think it's inappropriate, but you probably shouldn't expect more than a stock answer. Timelines on here have seemed to range from a week after acceptance to over a month.ray.bee wrote:Is it inappropriate to ask them when scholarship notifications will be sent out?

Re: WUSTL C/O 2020 (2016-2017) Applicants
Interview doesn't really mean anything much. Not to be a downer. I interviewed before I even applied and during the interview they told me that they expect everyone to interview and that the admissions committee does not (their emphasis) like it when applicants don't interview. So basically it's another standard step in the processstudyingeveryday wrote:+1 to the questionPinkpanda24 wrote:haha okay, that was poorly worded. I get it. It's not inappropriate, but you won't get anything close to a helpful answer. I got mine in 3 days, which seems quick. Could be a week, could be a month, could be more. You'll hear back, though- almost no one gets nothing.ray.bee wrote:Is it inappropriate to ask them when scholarship notifications will be sent out?

What do you guys think about SLU with a full ride (1843 Scholar) vs WashU with ~$100k scholly? Not sure about BigLaw, but want to keep STL large firms as an option at least.

Hey all. I have an interview with an admissions officer tomorrow. If anyone who has interviewed would like to provide me with some insight on your interview experience I'd really appreciate it. This is the only one I'll be able to do in person so I'm pretty stoked!

It's very, very chill and they are nice people. No hard/trick questions. Why law/why WashU/ have you been to STL? Enjoy!lula43 wrote:Hey all. I have an interview with an admissions officer tomorrow.
