Does anyone else have trouble logging on to the admitted students portal?

Yeah I'm getting an error message when I try to login.

Given that almost everything in Ithaca was shut yesterday, may be yesterday's decisions were fake news? Haha. I am sorry. Just kidding. Don't mean to pile on more anxiety. I am sure it will be up and running soon. Congratulations to all new admits.

What are the realistic chances of getting off the reserve list (especially before May)? I already sent in a LOCI, going for a tour next week, and will probably send another LOCI after the tour. It's my top choice and other schools 1st deposits are due April 10th. Can I tell them that they're my top choice and I have the other deposits due that early and don't really want to just throw $500+ away or will that lead them to rejecting me quicker? I don't know what to do and am stressing out big time :(

The turnaround for hearing back on scholarships is pretty quick after turning in all the forms, right? Seems like everyone hears back within a few days. I submitted everything earlier this week and haven't heard anything.

They were shut for at least a day, maybe even 1.5/2 days, due to the blizzard. Should hear soon.

Long-time lurker, first-time poster. Congrats to those who've gotten a decision and best of luck to those still waiting.

Kind of a stupid question, but for anyone going to one of the admitted students days - what's the dress code?

More than jeans-and-tshirt, less than business formal. Actually, jeans and tshirt is perfectly acceptable... but I've spent a majority of 1L in sweatpants, so take that with a grain of salt. Don't be that guy who shows up in a three piece suit. Just don't.

I interviewed at Cornell on 3/11, a day after receiving the interview request. After doing the recorded Kira interview, I received a "on reserve" note from the Dean on 3/17. I was so down for the entire weekend. Cornell is one of my top choices, and I do want to attend over many other peer schools. My GPA kinda sucks (3.5ish), but my LSAT is over Cornell's 75th by a few points.

I am not KJD, and I have a few years of work experience. I guess my interview must have sucked big time...The recorded interview format is very awkward, I have to admit. But I don't think I was THAT bad. I have seen on some other forums that Cornell has a priority reserve, and a regular reserve/waitlist. Is that the case for this year?

So it sounds like you're saying I should return the tailcoat, top hat, and Cold Calling for Dummies book I just bought.

Honestly, I think sending in another LOCI would be a mistake. One is enough to get across that you really want to go there (your application already indicated that as well). I know some T13s will reimburse you for the deposit fee that you made to another school if they take you off the waitlist. You'd be better off asking if they also have that policy, but 2 LOCIs (before it's even May) just sounds like you're begging to get rejected entirely.

For those who have already attempted to negotiate scholarship with Cornell, how long did it take for you to hear back from them after you sent your initial letter?

Wow flights from TX to all airports near Cornell are over $700 round-trip. Looks like I will not be attending ASP.

I don't suppose anyone's had any luck getting off the WL recently? They had interviews and acceptances off of it back in January/February but apparently nothing since.
