Yeah I asked cornell a couple days ago and they just referred me to their website where they say they use the CRS.pizzagoblin wrote:I got a solicited waiver in August.LawschoolHopeful2k16 wrote:Bump.LawschoolHopeful2k16 wrote:Has anyone gotten a fee waiver for Cornell?
I've gotten ones to places like NYU, UVA, Duke etc, but haven't for Cornell or GULC.
My stats are GPA just under 25th% and LSAT over 75%.
Has anyone asked them for a merit-based waiver and received one?
Still haven't found any info about people receiving unsolicited or solicited merit based fee waivers for Cornell or Georgetown.
Any info you guys have is appreciated.

Same here. They said I should look at the policies on their website, where the only option is CRS.LawschoolHopeful2k16 wrote:Yeah I asked cornell a couple days ago and they just referred me to their website where they say they use the CRS.pizzagoblin wrote:I got a solicited waiver in August.LawschoolHopeful2k16 wrote:Has anyone gotten a fee waiver for Cornell?

For people who successfully solicited a waiver, do you mind sharing what your response contained?
Oh, and I'm an international applicant (GPA doesn't count) and above their 75th LSAT score.

This is so anecdotal that I probably should not even bother responding, but I know someone who scored a 173 with a 3.8 GPA who got a fullride from Cornell.nimbus cloud wrote:How generous is Cornell with scholarships? I am LSAT 75th percentile, GPA higher than 75th.

Re: Cornell c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Heads up the Cornell application already has a section asking "Why Cornell." I called the admissions office to see if they would prefer a separate essay, and the representative told me to just use the application section instead.nimbus cloud wrote:Yeah, I am not even close to 173 but my GPA is better. Cornell is one of my top choices so, assuming I get it, I am wondering what they would give me if I am only at (and not above) the 75th percentile LSAT, in case I don't do better in December. FWIW I have pretty decent softs + unusual background.RamTitan wrote:This is so anecdotal that I probably should not even bother responding, but I know someone who scored a 173 with a 3.8 GPA who got a fullride from Cornell.nimbus cloud wrote:How generous is Cornell with scholarships? Also wondering if writing "Why Cornell?" would help for scholarships. Anecdotes are welcome.

Re: Cornell c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Worked for me. 1L, and my stats are slightly above the medians for my entering class. My scholarship covers about 70% of tuition. It's still a ton of debt, but I am very happy with my decision and their offer. I stated explicitly that Cornell was my top choice in the "Why Cornell" section, and I had several years of unrelated work experience on my resume. Hope this helps!nimbus cloud wrote:Yeah, I am not even close to 173 but my GPA is better. This makes me hopeful, thanks for sharing - I need somebody to throw some scholarship money my way...cantexplaingottago wrote:Worked for me. 1L, and my stats are slightly above the medians for my entering class.
