Also good or bad sign that my interviewer was doing 75% of the talking?

Your status won't change, but if it is the same as last year there will be a new entry under the mailings section that says something like "email - interview requested"

This year, there is no change in status checker until you get a decision.

Oh, thank you! So there's nothing in the mailings section either right (like there used to be last year apparently?)

Two questions ... 1) Does anyone know (roughly) how many batches of JS1 invitations they've sent out thus far? and, 2) How long does it normally take after having your JS1 interview to get a JS2 (presuming you do get one)?

Also, HAPPY HOLIDAYS/CHRISTMAS (Eve)

I believe there's been about 10 waves, with maybe a few half-waves thrown in. As for the second question, you could look to the timing of JS1/2s last cycle, but this cycle there's only been one round of JS2. Because there's only been one cycle, people were accepted from a backlog of people who had already interviewed over the past 2 months since they started interviewing--so it's impossible to determine average timing from here on out for this cycle in particular until they get through the backlog.

Kind of strange. Did they speak mostly about Harvard? Could mean they really like you and are trying to sell you on the school.

Yes! Mostly about the clinics

Hey, all. Current HLS 1L here just checking in for old times' sake. I only ever lurked here when I was applying last year, and I wouldn't blame you for not taking this unsolicited advice, but for what it's worth, I wish I'd had someone to tell me that comparing my scores, submit date, and JS1 to anyone else's would only cause unnecessary angst. This admissions process will work out for you or it won't (and I hope it does!), but it'll happen in its own time-- and obsessive refreshing will only make you go gray, and maybe give you carpal tunnel. That said, I wish you all the luck in the world!

Thank you for your support. I already feel like I have been rejected since I went complete in Oct and still no JS1 :(

Does anyone know the likelihood of still getting a JS1 - I went complete December 1?

No one can estimate your chances because it depends on your numbers/strength of your application. But it is absolutely not too late for you to receive a JS1. December 1 is a relatively recent complete date. Waiting is tough, but hang in there. Much too early to lose hope.

It also depends on stats, I'm sure. There's probably some people they're holding off on straight out rejecting but won't be willing to make decisions on until they get all the strong numbers they want.

nope--not yet. last year rejections started rolling out in late january.

on that note--does anyone know anything about google docs? may be good to start getting a spreadsheet together. i'm not too savvy on it, but it'll be nice to have one consolidated location for HLS admissions info.

The TLS 2020 thread has a link to a Google doc, I believe, because I used it for the two school threads I OP'd.

For those without a JS1 yet, note that in 2015, someone who applied in October received a JS1 in February. #ThereIsHope
