Rejection waves for c/o 2019
1st wave: 1/27/16
2nd wave: 3/9/16
3rd wave: 3/10/16
4th wave: 3/11/16 (?)
5th wave: 3/16/16
6th wave: 3/17/16
7th wave: 3/22/16 (?)
8th wave: 3/23/16
9th wave: 3/28/16

Wait list waves for the c/o 2019
1st wave: 3/29/16
2nd wave: 3/30/16
3rd wave: 3/31/16
4th wave: 4/4/16

So for those of us who have heard nothing since our apps went complete, and presumably survived multiple ding waves so far, can we take it to mean we are being considered for last minute JS1s or waitlist? Or is it pretty arbitrary who is rejected in the first 6 waves versus the last few?

Also wondering about this

Increasingly dubious about making any assumptions about this cycle based on prior years. Looking over LSN data back to the 13-14 cycle, the JS2 waves have been much smaller and more frequent. The 2/22 wave this year was unprecedentedly huge: 51 users on LSN. Even multi-day waves in years based topped out at around 30-40 users. Clearly HLS is taking a different approach this year.

That's assuming the ratio of lsn users/non-lsn users has remained constant. Even a small increase would skew your analysis.

My gut feeling is that it's likely that LSN usage has increased, but gradually over the course of the last few years, and not suddenly/extremely enough to completely account for the unprecedented size of the 2/22 wave.

True enough. The data is also skewed in the other direction by the fact that prior years show users adding their data well after the fact. Also, if usage is up that much relative to prior years, we would expect increases in each of this year's JS2 waves, which doesn't bear out in the data.

TL;DR - we know nothing. Someone save me from myself.

Not to rub it in, but I'm so glad I was on the last JS2 wave. Like, y'all are making me anxious and I'm not even waiting on a phone call.

At this point, I'd honestly put money on one big final wave sometime next week. What do you really gain by having "two" separate waves within a week of each other? At that point, you might as well just make it a Thursday/Friday dual wave. The only reason I can think of to split it up would be to make it easier to actually fit all the calls in, and a two-day wave solves that problem.

I think that next week is more likely than this week because of the first ASW scheduled to start on 3/24(?) Doesn't seem likely that they would call on an ASW day and they might want to avoid the logistical hiccups of fresh admits wanting to attend the first ASW despite being admitted just a few days prior.

I think this is likely too. Plus there must be a ton of last minute stuff to do for ASW

When's the second ASW (there are only two, right?) Cursory googling is not yielding any results for me.

But, like, maybe they could just say we couldn't go this weekend...? And they still have plenty of time to call us before making preparations...? *rapidly losing hope and sanity*
