Re your second question, they have an in-depth article on waitlist process and protocol on their Inside the Black Box blog.SybillAnnDorsett wrote:Does H begin to waitlist soon?
I had read last year that H requires you to commit to attend in order to remain on its waitlist. Is that true?

Based on last 2 cycles, looks like 3/26 at the earliest.SybillAnnDorsett wrote:Does H begin to waitlist soon?

No. You can get waitlisted without a JS1.simplypara588 wrote:Is JS1 a necessary condition for waitlist?
All depends on when the next wave is. But it seems like it usually take a month plus from JS1 --> JS2tartan2016 wrote:[tweet][/tweet]
Is it possible for those of us who had JS1s between feb 28 and march 3 to be included in the next wave of decisions, or will we most likely have to wait till the last wave?

I looked at last year's spreadsheet and the 2 years before that, and several people each year reported JS1s at the end of March with a 3-6 day JS2 turnaround time, so anything is possible!SybillAnnDorsett wrote:If it takes typically a month or so to get JS2, those of us without a JS1 can give up on that dream starting next week or week after, right?
March JS1 waves for last year according to the first page of this thread:SybillAnnDorsett wrote:If it takes typically a month or so to get JS2, those of us without a JS1 can give up on that dream starting next week or week after, right?
You will most likely have to wait until the last wave. The shortest turnaround on the spreadsheet this year, AFAIK, is like 17 days, and even late in the cycle people with really good numbers are usually at least 20.tartan2016 wrote:

The cutoff is probably around like 2/25 or within five days of there, I'd imagine. That's just me spitballing, of course. And even people who had JS1's much, much earlier could very well end up waiting until the last wave.
Took me about three weeks. It honestly just depends on if they have time to review your app before the next JS2, and how sure they are that they want you.ColombiaConfused wrote:I looked at last year's spreadsheet and the 2 years before that, and several people each year reported JS1s at the end of March with a 3-6 day JS2 turnaround time, so anything is possible!SybillAnnDorsett wrote:If it takes typically a month or so to get JS2, those of us without a JS1 can give up on that dream starting next week or week after, right?

I applied relatively late. Recieved jan 23, complete jan 26, JS1 2/24. I am no expert but the delay on yours might be due to the completion delay. I remember reading on this thread that JS1s went out last cycle until march 14th or so, but a few happened end of march too. Then there are also JS1s off the waitlist.kubakuba wrote:Did anyone who applied around the deadline (late January) get JS1 invite yet? Also, my app went complete on Feb 27 (LSAC had a delay is evaluating my transcript so the report was sent in mid Feb) - so it basically means that I should expect my invitation either next week or never, doesn't it?
